Hi everyone
I was wondering where is a good place to get a key cut/copied?
I know it depends on the person cutting and machine but where did you have a good experience at a store?
canadian tire? rona? home depot?
Also I want to spend not too much too, like $3 - $4 max ... a little more if it's good quality.
reason is I lost my house key, luckily far away so in a different city so i am not worried about a break in and that I was stupid and nut put in back into my key bunch when giving it to my brother to get into the house when he forgot his inside and when he returned i just shoved it in my pocket ... when i got home i realized it wasn't there anymore
Thanks,

We go to our local Co-op Home Centre, about $2 for a regular key, more if you want a fancier topping thingee for it.
I'd surely trust Rona or Home Depot, no problem.

I've had keys cut at Canadian Tire, Home Hardware, Walmart, and Keys and Things. Never had any issues. Keys and Things was a little more expensive though.

For regular keys I go to Canadian Tire. For more complicated jobs like they have to take the lock apart and cut it from the numbers because all the keys sre lost I go to a local locksmith shop.

We have a Reno Depôt here that I use if I need it. Same pricing as you posted. More if you want a printed key.

I've gone to Walmart and Canadian Tire and I haven't had any problems. Unless you need something out of the ordinary, they are all pretty much the same.
