I did pretty good today ... first time ever doing double coupons

I spread my self out over 5 stores making sure NOT to clear shelves & using my coupons to the best of my abilities ...

    In total I purchased 95 items ...
    Total before$216.57
    Total spent $44.79
    Total saved $171.78
If I am correct making it a 79% savings

Making each item a wonderful $0.47 each !!!!

& that price of $44.79 is including a gift for my youngest sons birthday costing $9.00 (on half price from $18.00)

so for fun I took that off & done a total with just using coupons & it came to $0.38 for each item making it a 81% savings !!!!

I even had one wonderful cashier who clapped for me when I only paid taxes in one store I visited

As much as I enjoyed the savings ... I loved sharing my coupons with a young couple who had twins & a toddler purchasing diapers & wipes & baby lotion ... it really made my day when she loaded her cart with extras using the coupons I was able to give her !!!!

I had a great day...went to 2 Pharmasaves here. They didn't keep to the 3 item limit...and they doubled the whole coupon!

    I got (from memory)
    6 Kleenex
    3 Royale Toilet Paper
6 Orville popcorn (3 packs Smart)
    3 Pringles
    6 GUM toothbrushes
    6 Colgate toothpaste
17 Advil Cold and Sinus (enough for a year! FREE!)
    3 Cascade action packs
    3 Satin care shave gel
    3 herbal essence shampoo
    2 ricola
    2 Always

And a few other things that I can't remember...OOP was less than $100 (the advil C&S was worth $102 alone!)

Where were the advil cold and sinus coupons from. Were they tear pad or did they come in a insert.

Was lucky...they had lots left, and I went near the end of the day.

    The coupon was a tearpad.

    I was SO excited ... Over a spread of 5 stores I got ...

    52 Kleenex $0.99 -$1.00 WUB2 (x26) = FREE

24 Kotex $1.49/2.99 - $1.50 (x24) = Free (The price varied at each store 1.49/1.69/2.99 either way they were free when the coupon doubled)

    1 Tampax $3.99 - $1.00 (x1) = $1.99

    1 Herbal Essance Hairspray $2.29 - $0.75 (x1) = $0.79

    4 Lifesavers $2.29 BOGO - $1.00 (x2) = $0.75 each

    2 Listerine $4.99 - $1.00 (x2) = $2.99 each

    2 Herbal Essence Shampoo $2.29 - $0.50 (x2) = $1.29

    1 Herbal Essence Conditioner $2.29 - $0.50 = $1.29

    4 Reach Toothbrushes $1.99 - $1.00 (x4) = FREE

    3 Ricola $2.49 - $1.00 (x3) = $0.49

    & a Toronto Maple Leafs Zambonie for my sons Birthday $18.00 -50% = $9.00

    Total $216.57
    Spent $44.79
    SAVED $171.78

    95 items = $0.47 each

I donated most of the Kleenex & Kotex to the schools my 4 children attend ... it feels GREAT to help others !!!!

Pharmasave had a day where they doubled up to the first 2.00 of any coupon. It was a one day only event. In the past summer they often did various double coupon day's. You will find it advertised both on this Smart Canuck Site as well as on their flyer's that are in your flyer's bag
I give workshop's on Couponing, putting one together for end Feb/beg March in the Spryfield Location. One coming up this week ( 9th) at Cole Harbour Place)
PM me for the detail's if you are interested
