To get a Wii or not?

No! No wii in the house right now. Decided to hold off on the wii for as long as I can since I will be the only one using it. I just go out for walks and use my exercise bike as much as I can.

i would not reccomend. bought one for my son when it came out,well it never gets used.go for the xbox 360 kinect

My question now is, Will the Nintendo Wii keep my interest enough to use it for exercise? Is the Wii Fit worth the money?

The games can become repetitive, but I guess any exercise routine can become... routine. As someone else mentioned, it doesn't do much to motivate you, but the motivation should be that you're losing weight and feeling better. It does estimate how many calories you have burned and it feels good when you see some bigger numbers there, but don't expect it to be easy. Like any exercise program, you won't see much benefit if you're not dedicated. Overall I would recommend Wii Fit, especially if you live in a colder climate and you're not into winter sports.

i have heard that the EA active game is the one to get if you want to exercise, heard that the wii fit gets boring fast, and that the biggest loser ones aren't that great... i only own the Jillian one, used it a few times, and wasn't crazy about it... i want the EA active one...

and if u want any other games, i would highly recommend super mario brothers... over any other game, its the only one i play out of the handful of games i own... although it does seem that whoever plays blue toad is cursed...

now to just get more nu chucks so i can have a group over to play golden eye... i

I got the controller and nunchuk combo http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.30494 and they seem completely authentic, the speakers on the Chinese ones are actually louder... Like when I use the propeller hat on Mario the sound effect is louder/clearer on the cheap controller than on the one that came with the system.
