Our's will be closing in January, but not becoming a target. So many rumors flying around here. One is that when it closes our walmart wants to take over the space to use as storage.

I could have sworn that when they released the liquidation dates, they also said when the store was closing. I thought the ones in London were closing around June 12th or so. But now I see the closing dates aren't listed any more. Does anyone know when the London stores are closing?

Indeed. Typical zellars. Open busted up boxes, zero return policy, inflated prices.
Who is going to pay full retail price on PS3 games that are FIVE YEARS old.

Don't even bother stepping foot in this place. This junk will end up at Liquidation World for what you should be actually paying for it. Good riddence. Adios Zellars.

    Bring on Target.

I was in Zellers over the weekend and it was very busy. The store is getting really empty as well and I ended up picking up quite a few items for cheap. There's actually deals to be had now. I'm still waiting on the cleaning supplies, paper products and food to go more than just 10%. We all know these will be the last items to get a high discount. This time around I avoided Zellers staff since the last time I went where I had such a terrible experience with the rudeness of staff and especially that nasty b!tch of a cashier I encountered.

I'd say atleast half the store is atleast 40% off, there's a few sections that are 50-60% off. A couple sections at 30% and then you have food, paper product, and cleaning supplies still at 10%.

Yes it's worth to take a look. Keep in mind you have to spend a good amount of time shopping the whole store to find the great deals. Also look out for yellow ticketed items. These have already been previously marked down from a regular price and then there would be an extra 40% for example off that yellow ticket clearance price.

All crayola products were 50% off at the Listowel Ontario store but of course they were pretty much all cleared out already... Everything there is looking pretty cleared out now and it's scheduled to close in a month. Not even worth shopping there. Supposed to be reopening as a Wal-Mart. Can't wait Right now I have to drive 40+ minutes to get to a Walmart.

I was keeping an eye on the KitchenAid stand mixers...all they had was the classic one, so I wasn't that interested, but would have picked up for the right price. But they were all sold out at 10% off....Seriously???? Walmart has these exact ones for $189...how could Zellers have sold out? I even looked around to see if they were just moved...couldn't find them. Do they rotate this stuff from back room, so that it looks "fresh"???? I just can believe they ALL sold out at only 10% off...baffles me.
i wouldn't be surprised if that store was told to ship them out to stores that aren't in clearance-mode yet.. you'd be surprised to hear the stuff head office is doing to not lose too much money.. they're shady, slimy and disgusting
