Stockpile YUP LOL
My shelves started to tilt so now hubby bought second shelves and they are still sitting in the garage 2 months later. The lean on the frst set is becoming quite noticible:eek: (and these are industrial shelving units lolol). My stockpile is now taking up space on and around the shelf and I am hoping my hubby will stub his toe on it all to motivate him:mad:
Most of my stockpile is food related now. When I first started out I didn't have lot of food coupons so thats when I took advantage of the toiletries and cleaning stuff. I still haven't run those supplies down. I had to keep myself in check lol, I mean how many sticks of deodorant do we really need (I still have about 15-20 ). So non food items i try to have about 3 months stock on hand.
Food items depends on it's shelf life definitely. I found Franks Red Hot at the dollar store today for $1.50 but they wouldn't accept my $1.00 coupie. Bought 2 anyway lol. I really contemplated buying 10 and I still may my kids go through it like water:biggrin:

Of course I have a stockpile! (getting close to the 'extreme' couponing show ;) well, kinda minus the "false walls" of toilet paper and paper towel, I have grown quite the stash since May 2011 that's for sure! it takes up a section of the basement over 4 shelves and 5 plastic drawere organizers!

mailed earlier today, wow, sounds like some amazing stockpiles, congrats all!! I wish we had stockpiles..... we go through a lot and I can never buy that many of a great sale and it's so much harder to stack at LD I rarely even go there now....in 2010 I did a lot of stacking and have a smallish stockpile of toiletries, laundy soap and cleaning supplies but it's dwindling.... so sad...

Post #89 - Nat - You've won some stickers!
Off to work for the day - yuck.
I have a few stockpiles now too. I started off with the toiletries - we have enough body wash, deodorant, razors, la coupe hairspary (2 teen girls) etc, to last a long time but if I see something I can get for free I have to have it. I am bad for trolling the 50% off bins at Superstore and Sobeys.
I am working on my food stockpiles now too. This week was catelli spagetti lol, 10 boxes (I restrained myself) for 2.50 and a lot of the $1 mustard at WM, I make hubby and dh check out with one bottle (as per the French's coupon), for some reason it is still on for $1 here so we will keep going will they figure that one out.
I have taco kits out the wazooo (had to use up all kinds of the cheese coupons last month).
Do you donate any of your stockpile or do a coupon shop for donations?
At Xmas I took advantage of the Campbells $1 WUB2 and when WM had the soup on for .59 we bought 150 cans of it and it ended up costing $3.82 (the cashier screwed up somewhere and didn't want to fix it when I point it out) and we gave it all to the food bank the next day - what a feeling. So now I have a pile for 'donate' of stuff I won't use but can get for next to nothing.

I haven't donated anything, yet. The only people I donate to are the friends and family who think my stockpile is their own personal grocery store. :S

Yay! Thanks! I love stickers!!

Congrats Nat!
Yes we donate a lot, I volunteer at a women's shelter, and I make up "start up" bundles for women leaving the shelter, moving into their own places.
I make up boxes of toiletries, cleaning supplies, food, baby formula, diapers etc. I also make up little coupon folders for each. :)

Ahhhh... You guys have such kind hearts. I really need to find someplace to give donations to.
-
We coupon shop and donate to local SPCA.

I just really started couponing around October and have only donated a few things to the food bank. But I do help out a friend of mine who is a single mom to 3 girls and is going to school full time :)

Like Natt, I have dontated to friends mostly. When my daughters friends move into their new homes (they are starting to fly the coop now) I make up gift baskets.
Charity is a marvelous thing and this year it is my full intention to make up some hampers for seniors in our community.

Hi Ladies... sorry havn't been talking much... I was sick...
Yes, we have a stockpile and I love it! Food/Beauty/Medicine(watch the expiry dates)/Dog Food & Treats/Cleaners...etc
Nothing to crazy.... we dont have 200 bottles of Mr. Clean... but we do have 4 :)
Couponing has really made such a difference in my life. We are able to stretch our dollar a wee bit further and not paying full price for anything is a wonderful feeling. And, I have to mention the couponing friendships I have made online. :)
We donate to our local Soup Kitchen. They offer 1 meal a day to anyone who needs it... before and after snack program for kids.... christmas hampers... etc
My favorite stockpile item is my doggies wet Beneful. Our Walmart put it on just before Christmas for $1.99. I had sooo many $1.25 coupons and many BOGO's. The food doesn't expiry until 2014. WOOOHOOOO!!
I can't believe I used to pay $2.99/package. (so sad) :-(
-
I can't believe what I used to pay for stuff either! I never pay more than $10 for baby formula, whereas BC (before couponing), I would spend $30 for formula.

very true, we used to stock up on items when on SALE not watching sale pricing...now with couponing see and realize true sales.
For example... we use to stock up TIDE @ 5.99 on sale and 4.99 and if it hit 5.99 we stocked again as was a sale....... with couponing i'm more $ aware and will not buy till back @ lowest price( 4.99 ) unless last week for use coupon and on sale and really need or coupon goes semi RAOK as saves someone a little on the not so sale SALE
I'm trying to get my fiancee on track with couponing, hard to explain some things.... as she still wanst tide as 5.99 this week at valu-mart....i said no way, as 2 weeks ago was 4.99 - our $1 tide = 3.99 why waste a coupon to pay a regular sale price on item. AT least now she sits down with me before she goes to work ( valu-mart ) and asks what we need and whats on sale that we have coupons for.....although she does add a BIG benefit as she gets sneak peak at a few weeks( 2-4 ) worth of flyers and know to use this week or not coupons :p, then each store is allowed its own special items on sale, so she watches management and isle's daily during break for things we need.

Oopsie... I should have started my previous post with hello Ladies and Gent(s).
My bad.
No many male couponers.....
