What the !!!! discharge fee ?? their greed knows no bounds..if you`re lucky enough to pay off your home, they add a fee!! like it`s one last jab at you....what justification do they have..what costs are associated with discharging a mortgage? I mean, other than the fee. I`m curious now
The voices in my head may not be real, but they have some good ideas!
I have nothing to do today and hope to be half done by noon.

They basically lump everything like that into an "administration fee". .. .

When we paid off our mortgage, we simply asked our financial advisor at the bank to waive the discharge fee and she took care of it. Now, we have made a fair number of investments with her and told her that within the year, when we sold our house we would be back to talk to her about investing the money so I think she had a vested interest in working with us.
