What about corn on the cob? I love that it is around all summer but miss it so much in the winter, what is available to buy just isn't the same. Has anyone tried to freeze it? How does it taste after?
We grow our own corn in the summer and I just freeze raw. We take off the outer leaves and most silk but keep some leaves on the cob and just freeze raw in bags. If we eat 'loose' corn, I just take a few cobs out of the freezer, let them thaw a bit and then cut the corn off and then cook a bit.

I've tried blanching but like raw much better....
