I disagree as well. I haven't gone thru a cashier lately who hasn't asked about couponing. They see the sales, and have rang up alot of items that were free for their customers.
I'm sure there are alot of cashiers who are now bringing their coupon binders to work with their lunch. The fact that the store was empty, & most likely the end of her shift, I don't blame her one bit. I'm sure the store followed their policy & marked everything down, it was on display to the public, and when her shift ended or she went on break, she became the public.
When we start thinking that stores should limit this behaviour, I say, "Be careful what you wish for"...

After reading some of the comments, i just want to add, that i think it was ok for the staff member to buy some of the clearance items, it was just a bit upsetting that she had a whole cart full and wouldn't share. I shouldn't pick on her just because she is staff, I would have been disappointed regardless of who was pushing the overflowing cart.
