I am sorry to hear about the bad time you had a LD Findme , couponing should be fun I totaly agree with you about it being a stress reliever! I think of it as a game. They should totaly teach this in high school, maybe an option at UofC call it Frugal Living 101. I remember taking a half semester class comm? they didn't go to far, they has us recearch how much it cost to move out on our own. It would have been awsome learning about coupons then.

With regards to your Greenworks coupons, I think you might have been trying to spread a buy ONE product save $1.50 over several products. Any buy ONE save $1.50 coupon can only be used towards ONE item - it can NOT be spread so that $0.50 goes towards the toilet cleaner, $0.50 goes towards the wipes, and $0.50 goes towards the spray.
One successful combination that I used this week was using the Buy 3 save $5 + the Buy ONE DISH SOAP save $1.00. This is a combination of 3 products, where one MUST be a dish soap:
1) Wipes = $1.99
2) Wipes = $1.99
3) Dish Soap = $1.99
Subtotal = $5.97
- $1.00 (applied towards the dish soap)
- $5.00 (2 X $1.99 applied towards the 2Xwipes + $0.99 applied towards the dish soap)
Total = $0.00 (or +$0.03 which the cashiers at RO will override to zero).
Hope this helps you, the cashiers, and the supervisors to have a much more pleasent experience when you attempt to stack. Remember = stay positive: the cashiers are more likely to help you figure things out if you are happy rather than if you are grouchy. Even if the cashier is grouchy, don't respond with grouchy.
One tip for you might be to approach Customer services and ask if your stacks of coupons will work BEFORE you load up your cart with products.

I really think she is just jealous. Findme - what nationality are you? I don't think she is racist because I am white and I have gotten a lot of problems from her. I think she is just a sad, lonely, bitter lady.

MommyMelanie, I am Asian. I wish if what you said about her is true about her being sad, lonely, bitter...maybe we can do something about it. I read all the wonderful stories about people giving and what not, all thanks to SC. I know I could not give so much if it wasn't for stacking and couponing. But all thanks to SC (and LD), I have gifted baskets of stuff to RMHC and women charity!

some people just dont like coupons. My sister was one, she told me one day " i dont need stinking coupons" , then she saw all my deals and now asks me if I have coupons for items she uses. This christmas I was able to spoil everyone and I wouldnt of been able to without the help of LD and SDM. Just dont let her bother you, just take your savings and smile while you walk out of the store.

My daughter asked santa for a gift for herself and her sister and that all the homeless people have a nice christmas too. So we tried to do a bit and got 2 names off the tree at walmart. It wasnt alot but it was more then last year and next year the goal is to donate gifts to the mustard seed and do 3 gifts at walmart. I wouldnt of been able to do this without all my coupon savings. Someone told me " you save on the things you need,so you can buy things you want. My husband and I also bought a new house one a single income and a daughter with about $500 in medical food. Could never have done this without coupons.

Here's a thought - why not make up a gift basket for the cranky cashier and give it to her with a big smile, thanking her for all of the assistance she has given you? Betcha that would change her tune!

I'm a bit tired of hearing about G at RO. If you are that upset, this is not an appropriate place to blast someone's character. Please send your thoughts to London Drugs for them to deal with it.
On a different note: I hope we ALL remember that Coupon Stacking and Price Matching at London drugs is a PRIVILEDGE, not a right. They can take it away at any time, and they decide how it works. I would like to implore everyone who stacks at LD, to be extra friendly, extra diligent at being organized, and making sure that our coupons are for EXACLTY what they say they are for. (Don't try to pull one over on them). And be willing to accept NO. If WE make it difficult for them, they WILL take the priviledge away.Last edited by AKE; Tue, Dec 21st, 2010 at 05:04 PM. I agree, We all have to remember that these cashiers are people just like us, they are trying, sometimes its complicated stacking, both sides can get confused don't get upset!
If you are not sure about a stack ASK! tell the cashier you are not sure about the stack and they will help you or ask "does this work?"(now they know your trying to follow the rules but may be confused) I have found this always difuses the situation.
Christmas is the most stressfull time of the year and most patience runs a little thin.
And remember, everyone makes mistakes and has bad days.
I am willing to bet a big stack of coupons that expire in February ,
most issues couponing are all about the "Rules of Couponing" either the cashier is unaware of the policy ,the couponer is unaware, or its just as simple as limits on rainchecks or PMing. Frankly RO is one of the best for that.
I used to try and stack B1G1 coupons seemed like a regular stack to me but after reading the LD coupon policy its clearly not allowed... my bad.
Try and be aware of the policy as much as possible.
If you know your right, politly ask what the exact issue is , explain how you understand the policy ,and move on. Really, who cares (at the worst don't buy it) but we all know 80 - 95% off is pretty awsome. I think of it as just a game, like golf, we are all going for the lowest score but somtimes things happen and not every shot is a hole in one.
Merry Christmas Everyone!

I have not run into any "bad" night staff at RO LD. My bet is they have some temporary staffs to help out at this busy time. And these new staffs don't know us as well and take extra pre-caution at the couponing. That's understandable.
As for RO LD, it has become like a second family to me. Sometimes I just go in and chat and unwind instead of shopping or stacking. (that's probably becoz I don't have much personal life LOL) I did have some issues with G at the beginning but we have come to an understanding that I am not trying to scam the store or anything. And I am always friendly and respectful of the staffs there (and I know we all are) and how could we not ? They have done so much for us. In fact, I am going in today to bring some treats for the staffs as I cannot even begin to compensate all the stuffs I put them thru with my couponing and price matching. She is certainly not racist. And I should know, becoz I am totally Chinese.
I am forever grateful of what LD and SC has done to my life and the life that I have touched becoz I was able to give more. Every bragging post (not the unbrag ones), I have thanked either RO LD or staff of RO LD, without them, none of that would happen. And for my good friend Jayme @ RO LD, gosh, everytime I talked to her, I am in tears, either it was emotional tears abt helping ppl or we say something crazy and burst into laughter so hard that we've got tears coming out of our eyes.
My take would be maintain a friendly atmosphere, do not argue, as these are only cpns, cpns that we got them FREE to start with, in time they would understand we are honest shoppers and we do appreciate their services. And the misunderstanding would disappear, after all, we are all human.
Merry Christmas to everyone !
