Like it just did a few minutes ago...I was sitting here in my dark, quiet house, when the doorbell rang, and it was one of my little music students, with a gift of Ferrero chocolates & a sweet, sincere Merry Christmas!!!

Waking up to the sunrise. Watching the sun set. I love the way the sky lights up with colour.

All of the trees and bushes outdoors were intensely covered with a thick white hoarfrost all day. And against a blue winter sky with the sun shining and sparkling off of the frost and the snow, it was all a picture that had to be enjoyed--with a hot cup o' coffee while sitting in front of an upper-room window in my rocking chair and with the baseboard heater making gentle tinkling sounds as it warmed the room.

I also got some stuff done today on my 1st holiday. This summer, I cut down some ragged-edged dishtowels into dishcloths, and some linen tablecloths into dish towels. Today, in the bright light, I finished sewing all the seams, and now have replenished my kitchen linens.
