PM'ing really saves me a lot of time and money because I live in a small town with only a small very expensive grocery store. I only shop at our local store for sale items and to coupon hunt. For the majority of our groceries I choose to drive north 20 mins to No Frills or drive south 15 mins to Food Basics, Zehrs, SDM and Zellers. We go grocery shopping once a week and choose which town to grocery shop in. 75% of the time we will only go to No Frills and pm all other stores sales there. The other 25% I will go to the other town with more stores if there are a lot of good sales at Food Basics that I can't PM at No Frills (primo pasta for example is not sold at No Frills so I can't PM) and/or there is a 20x event at SDM.

As for paying full price... I have been couponing and stockpiling for over a year so I am now at a point where I never pay full price for staples. If I need something that isn't on sale that I wouldn't normally buy I will buy whatever brand is cheapest (ie no name). Because I PM, my grocery lists consist of 90% advertised sales and I build our weekly meals around what we have on hand and what is on sale.
