Now that the "Q" has gotten a little to quiet, I have a challenge for you kids.

It deals with misheard lyrics. Up until not so long ago, my sister thought that the words to the Bee Gees "More Than A Woman" said "four letter woman"

I just read your post and couldn't stop laughing. I have a very stereo-typical blonde cousin (sorry for you smart blondes out there - I am sure you're out there) who got the words to the song Invisible Touch by Genesis wrong.

The proper lyric is.... "She seems to have an invisible touch yeah" but she would always sing..."She sees a hat and leaves it on the top shelf"!!!!

Now when I hear that song, I can only hear it they way she sings it! Give it a listen!

Another one I can think of is Elton John's Benny and the Jets. When my 18 year old son was a lil guy he use to sing "She's got Electric Boobs..." instead of "She's got Electric Boots..."

Good morning fellow Q Canucks!

On the topic of misheard lyrics, I can't think of any at the moment. All I can say is that I sing it the way I hear it until someone corrects me. Of course, most of the singing is done in the car when I am commuting by myself, so no one is there to correct me. Lord only knows how many songs I have ruined because I just don't know the words.

Actually, if you have to know, I never really listen to the words. It is the music that I listen to, and for some reason I have the ability to disect each individual instrument. It must be the musician in me that hears only the music. The song can be about the saddest topic in the world, but if the music sounds happy, then it makes me happy.

Hope you don't think I'm a wierdo. Some of my friends seem to think so, but who cares what they think.
