Speaking from experience?

I've taken "the plunge" twice. The first time was barely worth mentioning. WAY too young to know what either of us wanted.

The second time I proposed, she knew it was coming. Hell, she picked out the ring, lol! She didn't know that I was doubling down the payments on it, and getting ready to ask at a Tragically Hip concert before Christmas that year. I'd been watching the band's setlists online, and saw that they were alternating between opening the second set of the night with Scared and Wheat Kings. Wheat Kings was her favourite song, but according to the tour schedule, Toronto was getting Scared.

With about a week before the show, I contacted the band via e-mail through their website, and asked if they could break the cycle and play Wheat Kings and explained why. They didn't get the e-mail in time, and ended up playing Scared. I got down on one knee, proposed, and she damn near had a heart attack. She screamed "Oh my God! You're doing this NOW???" then shouted a bunch of other things I didn't quite hear, and finally said "GET THE F*** UP OFF THE FLOOR, WILL YA! Everybody's STARING AT ME!!! You're making a SCENE!"

She did say yes, we ended up getting an e-mail back from the band a few days later offering an apology for not getting the e-mail in time, and congratulations.

Hello all

Will not be with you today spent the night a emergency last nigh when my daughter got hurt at a concert at El Macombo. Seems the crowd got boisterous and pushed her down, she hit her head upon some of the stage props and required 5 stitches in her forehead, lets just say she was a bloody mess. Did not get home till 5:15 this morning, just called work to say I won't be in and am logging off now.

Will talk to you either late tonight when I've rested or tomorrow, happy Thursday to all.

My boyfriend and I have been dating for almost 4 years now, but I don't see marriage anytime soon in our future lol, I'll be 22 this year and he'll be 23. It's crazy to think that when I was younger I always said I wanted to get married when I was 22. Definitely not happening!

I was never in a "hurry" to get married. What for? There's lots of things to do when you are young without getting married, people to meet, places to go, etc. etc. If its supposed to be for the rest of your life why rush it, except if you are in a hurry to have kids another one I didn't want to rush. I was 38 that's young enough for me!
