Thaks for that Neon! the other night I took my twelve-teen daughter and 4 of her friends to see the new Percy Jackson Movie and all the way home they were singing this acapella (god help me I needed red wine when I got home) it is sooo freaky cause I wasn't much older than her when I saw them live doing this and other songs and it is kinda like a time warp or something listening to them singing it now-anyway, thanks agian for the post-love Steve Perry's voice-happy psunday everyone

Morning All.

Just reading the posts from last night - Thanks for the Olympic update. I thought I'd go through withdrawal but I had too much fun last night to even think about the Olympics.

Great meeting PSells, BlueWaterWitch, Andit and a fleeting hi/bye wave to ECat near the end. I was rockin' on the floor "by the bar on the left" all evening (and yes, take that for what it's worth) and tried to keep an eye out for you Tad, but it was really crowded. Sorry we didn't meet up. A couple of times (between bands) I borrowed BWW's SmartCanuck Magnet and walked around holding it up high to see if anyone took the bait. Met a few interesting people that way - but no SmartCanuck's!! (Yea, shy is not in my vocabulary - as in my intro to PSells - "Hi, at the risk of making an absolute fool of myself, are you by chance PSells?" - or when I thought I'd spotted Andit and took the magnet and walked right up to her and asked "does this mean anything to you?" Hey - either it works or it doesn't. And if it doesn't, odds are you're never going to see the person again so what the hey .... life is too short to be shy!)

Mob Barley - great tribute band and a great way to start the evening. And the rendition of FreeBird to end the evening - Brilliant (with a capital "B"). Actually everything in between was great too. I mean really good. Nary a sour note. Even Kidlet and her beau enjoyed themselves.

The only downer - Kidlet didn't get carded. That's harsh man. Really harsh.

Sounds like it was a great night! Sorry I wasn't there (too far for me). I am delighted for all who went!

Hi everyone, and thanks to all for the overnight words, etc.....glad the MV attendees had a good night....however, it's one of those venues where the lack of seats is an issue for me, I just don't stand long enough to make anything enjoyable any more, had to make it it a "pass".....
....good to see a few members met up, it's always nice to have a face to put to the names that are so familiar....
.....sad to see there are still some unhappy people on here still.....hang on a sec, here's my magic wand.....am waving it madly over all of those who need some magic fairy dust over them, cos I just don't get how anyone can join a list like this and manage to get into scraps with others..
.....to those who take offense at the least little thing (it seems) ....are you like that with your family and friends?.....or have you no friends left, and are looking for more victims?....surely you can find a debating group of some sort, cos clearly that is where you shine, and others who are ready for that sort of thing will appreciate your points of view....Yahoo has a TON of these, go check them out......
.....geeze, would you listen to me go on here??!?.....all this tension is bringing out the "mom" AND the Scottish in me...aaarghh!!!!...not always a good combo....going back a few years, when my boys abused the privilege of playing with a particular toy, I took it away from them, and I sure wish I could take some members' computers from them......this was a delightful place to start my day not so long ago, and I want us to get back to that....RIGHT NOW!!!.....there are PM's available to keep your vitriolic comments aimed at the right people, with no spillover to those WHO DON'T CARE!!!!.....GET A GRIP!!!!....the selfishness and the "It's all about me" rubbish HAS to stop..... there's enough crap going on with this poor old planet, without discovering it has made it's way into your home via the computer.. on this gorgeous Sunday, we should, at the very least, be looking out the window and appreciating the beauty that is out there.....allow it to flood into your soul and light up your day...try it, it's an amazing feeling!!!!...
