....OH, I remember the days of no caller display, and you would get dirty phonecalls.....one in particular I still remember.....
....guy on the other end: "Hey baby, I got a d*** that's really long".....
....me: "oh yeah?...is it long enough to stick it up your arse?"....

I used to get calls ALL the time from some jerk trying to sell me duct-cleaning. It was always the same company, sometimes even the same guy. Each time they called, I told them I live in an apartment building, and to remove me from their list. Finally, I figured the only way to get off the list was to make an appointment, so I made one.

The guy came out to do an estimate, and he was none to pleased when he couldn't find the house, so he called, asking if he had the address correct. Yes, I told him, the address is correct, and, as I've told them several times, it's an apartment building. STOP CALLING! They called one more time, I made another appointment for an estimate, and the same thing happened. They stopped calling after that for some reason.

...hehehe!!!....good one!!!.....we used to have a phone number that was close to a dentist's tel #, and I got tired of telling people they had the wrong #.....so I started booking appts....LOL!!!.....evil, aren't I??!?!

I'd wait and listen to their pitch. I'd yell near the phone, "Hey Louis!! I have someone selling smack here!! The trace is almost complete, so get the K9s ready. No need to feed them. "
There was usually no one on the other end of the phone after that.
People can be so Rude, I tell ya!!!!

You and my mom should get together. She would have done that too I am sure..
When I was still living with my parents, I had my own phone line. I also had an answering machine. It drive my mom crazy when my phone rang that she just had to answer it before the machine picked up. One number I had was very close to a well known optician's office. She would tell each person that they really needed glasses because they had dialed the wrong number....

we had a number one digit off from a doctor's office. My husband said that the next time somebody called asking for their test results he would act surprised that they are still alive! I don't think he ever did it though.
