Cryptic and original, but not a fit for the sentence. Either 'Buddy' or 'Holly' would have worked, though.

Hey! What he does with that pie is between him and the pie!

No, wait... that would be the "IMMoral quest"...

Do any of you remember the CityTV show The New Music when it was hosted by Jeannie Beker and JD Roberts? I was a faithfull watcher in my early teens and loved the insight it gave into different types of music etc. Then JD moved to the states and became John Roberts-anchor man on various networks. I had seen him here and there but last week I saw a recent clip of him talking about Roger Ashby of ChumFM. JD/John looked soooo old! I hate when this happens!!! I am of the mindset that you are only as old as you feel. There are days when I feel all of my ancient 42 years but usually I dont, I am active, fit, play with the kids etc so when I see someone from my youth that looks so old it kinda slides me sideways a bit. Maybe its the rainy weekend or whatever but I am wallowing in my age today. No birthday or anything but YIKES! I think I need to crank the radio and get over it! But see, there it is again, the kids crank up the IPOD docking station or the computer!!!! Never mind, I'll sanp out of it sooner or later-sorry to be such a drag, I'll be better once the sun shines, maybe I will put on some IZ (hawaiian guy)...

Funny one read by Derringer this morning:

After digging to a depth of 100 meters last year, Russian scientists found traces of copper wire dating back 150 years. Pravda reports that they have come to the conclusion that their ancestors already had a telephone network 150 years ago.

So, not to be outdone, in the weeks that followed, American scientists dug 200 meters and the headlines in the New York Times read: "US scientists have found traces of 200 year old optical fibers, and have concluded that their ancestors already had advanced high-tech digital telephone 50 years earlier than the Russians.

One week later, the St. John's Telegram reported the following: "After digging as deep as 500 meters, Newfie scientists have found absolutely nothing. They have concluded that 500 years ago, their ancestors were already using Bluetooth and Wireless technology."
What do the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Titanic have in common?

They both look good until they hit the ice.

A big 'Woo hoo!' to Karmac who solved the puzzle of my cryptic sentence. I think TNSF may be close or may already have it as well.
