Update on the work I did on the forum today

Hi everyone,

I made a lot more fixes and enhancements todays. Thanks for all your feedback! It's very helpful so please keep posting about problems you come across or anything that annoys you

Here is what I did today:

- Fixed the image resizing/cropping problems. Thanks Fallenpixels for pointing these out.

- Fixed the size of the text in the editors. Made text bigger and more readable.

- Made a lot of enhancements to the private messaging page:

Made the text bigger and made it easier to differentiate between read and unread messages. I used the same style as gmail for that.

- Made some improvements to the readability of the Control Panel and User Profile. I still think they need more work though.

- I tried so hard to make the forum main page and the thread listing pages easier on the eyes and similar to the old system. I introduced grey background to reduce the brightness. Also reduced the spacing and did some tweaks to the text. A new addition is making read thread purple. I hope these changes give the forum more character, make it feel like the old one and make it easier to read and navigate the forum.

- I changed some file names so that the red bar issue is gone for good from everyone's computer.

- Added new prefix to train section so that trains can be marked as "Boarding", "Full" or "Ended"

- Got rid of a crappy attachments interface and also made it possible to upload really large images.

I'll continue work tomorrow... still a lot of stuff needs fixing.

Please keep providing me with feedback. I will make sure the forum reaches perfection and is better than it's ever been

- When you hit "new posts" the green bar header is down over the page numbers on the right side.
- Some long title threads are still swish..look at the Superpoints or Swagbucks thread titles (in Paid Surveys) for examples.

I loved that the old forum had keyboard shortcuts. I notice that when you mouse over the "post quick reply" is shows "alt-s" but it doesn't work!

Are there other shortcuts? Or just Quick reply, go advanced and cancel?

Keyboard shortcuts not working in chrome:

This is an unresolved issue with the vBulletin software (possibly google coding in chrome browser).
It is in the bug tracker at the vBulletin website (available to active vBulletin customers only)

So they know about it and will fix it when they can.
