That only makes sense, don't know why they tried in the first place. Ours doesn't have food, other than a few snackies.

While I understand why it's not good business for them, it makes for great shopping for me on scratch card days.
I will miss it.Add me on twitter and I'll add you back! Just mention you are from SC!

I would never buy food from Canadian Tire. I'm even scared of the chocolate bars they sell. Just something about the idea of buying food at a hardware store :s
I am currently looking for coupons for non parishable foods or grocery coupons good until December to help with Christmas food helpers.
If you have any to trade please PM me.

i can understand why.. when you think of going to get milk and eggs Canadian tire is NOT the first place that comes to mind, once they had cola onsale and even that was expired (3 months past expiry!)

Never saw food at CT other than holiday treats or a few goodies they had at cash.

They do carry potato chip bags and the occasional bagged candy in store-store managers probably know some adults have to buy "peace" items if shopping with youngsters.
I have yet to venture into the Centre on Barton CT store to see what that grocery section carries. Best to check it out soon before CT brings in the Sports Chek dept. in the bigger stores.2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

I've only have ever purchased the occasional lollipop from CT. I don't think that I would purchase my food from them. It just doesn't make sense. Also, many of the CT's in my area are in the same complex as grocery store, so it seems kind of redundant.

Canadian Tire is my goto place to get milk. It is cheaper than Costco and .30 cheaper than Walmart. I will definatly miss it. My location sells a lot of milk and the coolers are usually empty by the end of the day.
I do find the rest of the food items quite expensive though so really no surprise they are not doing well overall.

My friend bought a Snickers bar at CT once and she told me it tasted like rubber.
