When I lived with my parents as a teen, I was not allowed out on school nights at all. In high school, around 15 I had a 10pm curfew and when I was 16-17, I could stay out later, if i was just at my friends house up the road, I was able to say out until midnight on Friday and Saturday Only.
When I came home from University, 18-22, I had a curfew of 12am. The reason being my parents would stay up until I got home and they worked, live in their house, abide by their rules.
I was never allowed to have the opposite sex stay over. The only exception was my fiance whose hometown was 7 hrs away and I had been dating from 19, engaged at 22 but even then we were not allowed to sleep in the same room. Once we were married at 25 we were allowed to sleep in the same bed, my parents even went out and bought a queen bed for when we visit.
His parents were however allowed us to sleep in the same bed when we visited, He was 20, his parents were a little more laid back.Last edited by matrix82; Sat, Sep 22nd, 2012 at 12:36 PM.
