I used my Huggies FPC at SDM, and they input the coupon code 2002. But they still charged for tax. Anybody know why?

    On the receipt:
    Huggies Diapers G 27.99
    Ven CPN Free 2002 B 27.99-

    HST: 1.4

I am sure the tax is for the diaper, which is 5% in BC. Is it because of the G and B?

Sorry I can't help you on this. I just know that some things are taxable and some are not. Have you bought diapers there before? If yes, were you charged tax on them then?

Diapers always have 5% gst and in my case should be 27.99*5%=1.4.
I am just wondering why item Ven CPN Free 2002 B 27.99- did nothing on tax. It was supposed to minus the 27.99*12% (or 5%) tax, but it didn't.

I would call them tomorrow. I know lots of people in BC and Ontario reported issues with the tax thing when the HST was rolled out.

For some reason, when they use code 2002 for FPC, if your item has HST on it ( B) tax is excluded but if there is GST only (G) then you would have to pay tax, it's been like this for 2 years and I never got the answer, called SDM Head Office and they said that I would have to pay tax no matter what, so I gave up :D
