Woke up this morning feeling not quite 100%. Mentioned to DH yesterday about Campbells Soup on for .59 starting today and that I had 1.00 WUB2 coupons. Since they usually limit soup to 12 per customer DH said he would come with me before he went to work.
Wanted to pick up some for my Mom. All the cashiers there are great but the one I had today
. First it was , Sorry you can not use this coupon as it is for condensed soup. Yes, I said but Mushroom soup is condensed. Then Oh it is 1 coupon per trasaction. I said did you want to do 6 transactions then. She said No I will put it through. Maybe made a Boo Boo but had 24 tins in the shopping cart. Then , Sorry limit of 12 per person. Yes, I said 12 are for my DH another customer. Then, Sorry 12 per household. I said it does not say that on the sign. I then bought a Airwick for 5.99. had handed her the 7.00 coupon and she said this must be for the wrong product because the coupon is worth more then the product. It would be free and I would be giving you money. No, I showed her it was the right coupon and said she could adjust the coupon to 5.99 which she did. She was not rude and I was not rude but I felt lke she was making up rules as she went. I was calm and always think the more I stand my ground the easier it will be for the next S.C. Sorry this is sooooo long but I think I need a poor Scottishgal to make me feel better. Maybe should have stayed in bed.

You are lucky they changed it to 5.99 the policy in all my local SDMs is not to adjust coupons over the product amount

my shoppers won't adjust the coupon amount either, once I tried to buy toothpaste on for 99 cents. Coupon was for $1.00.

At least she did let you use your coupons.

Well twice now i have given the cashier at one of the shoppers here coupons for products I didn't even buy (by accident of course). They didn't even look at what i was buying and just put them through.

I just take "those" kind of cashiers as "misinformed" people! I don't believe they are trained properly anywhere!! That is until we come along and teach them!!
I LOVE CONTESTS & COUPONS!!

Yes, From reading all the posts on here I am lucky that she let me use the coupons.
I have been using coupons for a year now and Thanks to all the posts on S.C.'s by Smart Canuckers I know what to say when a question comes up.
Think I am just a little under the weather as I have to say most of the time I do not have a problem. Even at No frills the other day I bought 10 Purex 3 in 1 ( On for 3.99 -2.00 Coupon)and had the cashiers laughing when I said I was buying that many because ( Men cover your ears) they are fool proof as you just through 1 sheet in the washer then move it along to the dryer. They called for an over-ride as they said if it is over 5 coupons they have to do that but put 10 coupons through in 1 tranaction.

Sorry that she gave you such a difficult time. I think standards of customer service are slipping.
