There is also no such thing as a TEEiger, GEEirafe, etc, etc with every letter of the alphabet.
ZED is the name of the letter. Its sound is Ze (the same sound as the American's ZEE).

    My parents still do
Here's an interesting (or odd) study done on the vanishing use of the term chesterfield among Canadians.
    http://homes.chass.utoronto.ca/~chambers/couch.html

Fig. 1: Use of couch and chesterfield by different age groups, with the oldest on the left and the youngest on the right.

Btw, this study was done 20 years ago. Which means even less people use this term in Canada today.

i think some popular Canadian humor is sometimes very eastern Canadian. us westerners don't know half the things y'all are talking about ;p

and the "eh" thing. i have never said it, don't know ppl who say it, didn't hear it growing up except for on TV.

'Canadian' comes in all ways :D
I have to admit that I say "eh" all the time, but then again I am just a hoser eh? *LOL*

The best line I ever heard from an American was when I was looking at room rates at a hotel in Buffalo NY, something was mentioned about December 25th and the hotel front desk person says "Well that is our Christmas, I am not sure when you guys celebrate it up there in Canada." BUFFALO IS WHAT? TEN MINUTES FROM THE PEACE BRIDGE?????? I just shook my head and walked out before I burst out in laughter in front of her!

    P.S. Still love that commercial!
