we were at walmart yesterday doing some shopping and my son found a gift card on the floor when we were coming out and today he show it to my brother what he found and my brother called the phone number from the back of the card to see if there was any balance on the card and for my son surprise there is $10 on it so he tell my dh if he can take to walmart because he want to buy something with the gift card and his happy for what he found

Cool surprise for your son!! I came out of our post office 2 yrs ago and found a giftcard, checked the balance and found there was $100.00 bal on it! From then on, I've always been on the lookout for lost cards! you never know!!

Yes those gc-s are like cash - so if you lose it - there's no way to find out to whom it belonged. Lucky for your son!

It was nice that your son found this card, now he will be able to get something nice for himself or someone else. I too, feel bad for the person who lost it. Since there is no way to trace where the gc to the person it actually belongs to, there is no point in turning it in, so it good luck for your son.
