Hi everyone!!
Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Years!!!
We just got back from Florida and had a great time with the entire family in Walt Disney World! So here are my brags!!!
1) Disney staff!!! As some of you know my son is autistic and waiting in lines is a flip out waiting to happen. The Disney staff instructed us once we got down there to go straight to Guest Relations, show them his diagnosis and they would give him a Guest assistance pass. Little did we know this was a golden ticket!!!!! Pretty much meant skip the line or wait for seconds in the fast pass line!!!! (For our entire family I might add!) In some cases they took us in alternate entrances away from the crouds!!! This was amazing!! Not only did we hit almost every ride (Buzz Lightyear about 4 times...lol) but it made our vacation an actual vacation and not a headache for me and my husband!!!!

2) Good ol' Walmart!! On the way home we stopped as I promised my son a Toy Story shirt. Figured Walmart would be cheaper than in Disney (but ironically we did score Bullseye for $11.97 and up here he was $29.99!) and I was sure right!!! Got 5 TS3 shirts regular $7.00 on for $1!!!!!!
I also got two shirts reg $ 9.99 on for $3!!
3) It has been crazy since we have been home and I haven't even got to use a coupon yet...(the horror!!)..or cut them for that matter! Needless to say walked into our community centre which houses our library and there were all these books....free to a good home!!! My son loves books and this was perfect for him!!! There were tons there and we grabbed everything he wanted!! Once we are done with them we will pass them on to a charity!
I also saved all my hotel soaps and shampoos just like all of you told me and have started my charity pile!!! Can't wait to fill the box up!!
Hope you all have a great day!!!This thread is currently associated with: Walmart

I love the WM down in Florida! We always used to go to them for all of our souvenirs! They are dirt cheap and good quality! Not like those cruddy places on I Drive where you get shirts 5/$10 or whatever it is. You wash them once and they are toast!
I take it you stayed on WDW property?? I have never stayed there but like the stories about them I read! My family and I always stayed on Orange Blossom Trail, right by the Florida Mall. It was a lot quieter, close to everything!!
Watching this white **** falling outside, I wish I was THERE NOW!!!!!! *LOL*
Good on WDW for taking good care of you, nice to hear those stories and not the horror ones, I have read enough of them too!
Is it baseball season yet?

We did stay in Disney...in the Fantasia section of the All Star Movies hotel. We went for all about the kids on the trip! Tons for them to look at and the pool was right outside our room. The rooms were very basic but it was the economy of their hotels. I have stayed at other Disney resorts and they get better the more money you pay. In reality it doesn't matter where you stay because you are so tired after walking all day you crash anyway at 8pm...lol! Staying in Disney does have it's perks...take the bus everywhere, no driving...and we had the meal plan so food was included.
I also know what you mean about those shops on International drive....I've found better quality at Dollarama!!!

Next time you go, let me know well in advance. I know of a great site with plenty of advice and trust me it makes a world of difference1

Last time I went, I planned my whole trip in 3 weeks. I went alone and never spent more then 15 waiting for a ride (at Spring Break no less!!!) and was seldom exhausted... well okay I was every day but I was off resort so could not take mid day breaks!!!! I still did everything I wanted to do and was back at my hotel by dinner time! Not too bad at all!!!!
Glad you had a good time though! Is it baseball season yet?
