    We just came home from a trip to the USA. Planning ahead and printing coupons online, we saved just shy of US$250 for a 4 day trip. We had Kohl's coupons, Target coupons, hotel coupons, free pizza & meal discount coupons, manufacturer coupons, etc. I am very excited.

    Here are the places I got my coupons from:

    Kohl's promos: http://www.kohls.com/ Scroll down to bottom, click on sign up for sales alerts. They will email you the coupons to print. It varies, but this trip I had an additional 20% off entire purchase coupon, which saved me $50. Last time I had a buy-more-save-more one and got 30% off entire purchase.
    Perkin's promos: Kid's eat free on Tuesdays and Saturdays 4 pm to 9 pm. Sign up for email promos, I just got a BOGO entrees. http://prkmc.fbmta.com/members/Updat...nputSource=web
    Hotel coupons: I filled out a customer satisfaction survey and got a coupon for $50 off room rates. Various hotels have different promos, so check it out before you go. Also, you can get discounts if you have airmiles and if you have a CAA card. You just have to ask. Also we weren't happy with our room (we got moved from our original booking because of a wedding), so I complained and got a free pizza coupon. So, if you aren't happy, tell them...most will either take money off your room, or give some other compensation.

    TIPS:
    - If you are asked to put in a zip code...use your hotel's zip code.
    - Look to see when the coupons come out in the papers...if it is close to your arrival date, call ahead and have your hotel save you that paper.

    Perhaps there should be a section for Canadians doing cross border shopping trips!
