Thread: Wife will be unemployed after 2day ..... Poop
-

Wife's job is done today after 6.5 yrs, the place she worked is closing their doors @ 6pm, so things are gonna get a bit tight from here on out.
Glad we were able to create a bit of a stockpile the last few months, so at least we are set on things like cleaning supplies, laundry detergent/fabric softener/resolve, dish soap, shampoo, body wash, razors
Now just need to buy regular food products to live
Just my small rant, life will go on and things will get better, just gotta keep saving money while couponing
Happy Couponing all !!!!!This thread is currently associated with: N/A

Best of luck to your wife and her job search. If you can take advantage of the sales and cook/bake together in large batches and freeze for later uses, I'm sure you already do but if not perfect time to start and create a meal plan.
Try and do barters with friends/family members/neighbours flaunt each others skills (sewing, baking, painting, organization skills, etc...).
And if entertaining is high on your lists make it a pot luck (people tend to leave the offerings behind for the hosts) atleast most people due.
Best of luck and your stockpile will payoff, great job!2019 is the year that we continue to save before we buy!!!

Things have been wonky financially here this month too, and I can tell you, I've thought of that stockpile as a lifesaver more than once. We had a full freezer and stocked up on some stuff beforehand and it has done wonders. You can do this, you'll know how to keep hold of the money you will have coming in, and life will get easier
Now is the time to start!

Best of luck to you and your wife! Don't worry it will get better. Just keep making sure you two work together as a team and everything will be ok. Keep couponing and looking through those fylers to help make your dollar work more for you. And yes the stockpile is a life saver sometimes, especially when things happen. If you need any advice we are all here for you.

Best of luck....though I'm sure you'll pull through!
And remember that you're not alone. So many people (especially in Ontario it seems) are out of work right now. It's horrible. Last year my dad was laid off indefinitely after working at the same place for almost 30 years......and then had to try to enter the workforce again at 57 :S Thankfully he was able to find another job.....which I'm not sure he's super keen on, but it's a paycheck.

That's too bad - but hopefully she'll find something else quickly - if not right away, her EI will kick in.
Great that you have a stash to draw from!
We've been on one income for a long time; it can be done, tough sometimes - but in our home, love is free!

not an easy task but can be done!!! I have alot of Education gave up because I was not getting anything stable and working retail at least money is coming in. It is just making sure your needs and wants are in the right place, do you really need a data plan for you phone and all the bells and whitlses or do you want it? Do you need the movie stations and sports package or do you want it for your tv? These are questions that can really help you save money.
