Hi
anyways my husband and I are ttc, last month I had a miscarriage and then I had my period so the dr says its ok to try again. But my dh and I have never tried it just happened. I told him well have to have intercourse everyday just in case my ovulation is off. Any advice I would like to get pregnant asap. Please no judgement on getting pregnant after miscarrying trust me all I wanted was to have my daughter im still hurting emotionally and trying to deal with the loss. This thread is currently associated with: N/A

I charted my basal body temperature for DS1. Unfortunately it takes at least 1 month of charting to figure it all out. We conceived the second month.

I used ovulation kits when ttc after our loss. My OB actually said the best time to conceive is right after you've had a loss-provided you are emotional able to handle it. Clear Blue worked for us much better than the cheaper brands. I wish you luck and baby dust ...

You can get ovulation tests at dollaramma for $1.25 each, still cheaper then clear blue or first response. When we saw the fertility specialist, we were told to do the baby dance after the 8th day post period, so the 8th day in the cycle, and if you have a 28 day cycle (which I do NOT have) that means you only really have to do the deed for 12 days or so, or 6 if you do it every other day. I wish you the best, and hope that ttc isn't to hard on you guys, it took us 4 years and many losses to have our son, but only took one loss and 2.5 months to concieve (by accident as we were no longer trying) with this current pregnancy. Best of luck.

Well, try lots in the week and a half to two weeks after your period ends. You should be able to tell physically when you're in that ovulation phase, too.
Your husband isn't complaining about trying every day, is he?

I agree that there's changes in your body when you're ovulating, you can see them without buying anything (although if your cycle is weird, maybe this won't work, I don't have a lot of experience here).
Those who are squeamish, don't read this next bit. Read online about cervical mucus. Pay attention and you can tell when the right stuff is happening. My DH and I did not have the same troubles you did, it must have been devastating. But by looking at what my body was doing instead of buying anyting, we did the deed at the right time (which wasn't exactly where we planned, we were at DH's parent's house when the right time occurred, but oh well) and the first time we tried, we got pregnant. Even now, although I have no intention of having more children, I can tell when we COULD expect to conceive. Things do change 'down there' and you can easily detect these changes if you know what to look for.
Good luck, and lots of baby dust.Last edited by Zonny; Wed, Apr 25th, 2012 at 09:15 PM.

Definitely keep track of as many bodily signs as you can. DH and I have been doing the ttc thing for a while and I've found that tracking basal body temperature, cervical mucus, even changes in sex drive help me figure out when the best time is. Charting takes a while to work, but try keeping a journal of how you feel physically and any changes in your body. Being in tune with what's going on can really help. Baby dust to you!
