I seen in our Sobeys (Atlantic) flyer had VH sauces in them for 4 for 5.00 plus 15 bonus airmiles when you buy 5. Well, I had a lot of coupons for the VH Indian Market sauce so I went in there last night. On the shelves they had them for 2 for 5.00 and among them was the little sign for the airmiles which also said they were 4 for 5. I found someone and showed them the flyer and got it straightened out or so I though.
Anyway, I got 20 most of which were the Butter Chicken. At 4 for 5.00 made them 1.25 each and I had a lot of Save 2.50 when you buy 2, so they were free. I also got 61 airmiles. Awesome deal. I love the stuff but it is always so expensive.
I went back today to get more and they had a little sign saying it was an error in the flyer. There was nothing for signs around the door. I cant wait to go to another Sobeys tomorrow and see if it changed there. The supervisor there seems to hate me using coupons and with a deal like that, it probably drove her crazy especially with the airmiles, too.
Can they really change it like that without even any correction notices at the door or anywhere?

Sorry I'm not much help but I just wanted to comment that I'm surprised that you like the butter chicken sauce so much. DH and I tried it. i was very nervous because I do not like indian food nor anything spicy. I made it with chopped up chicken on a bed of rice. There was hardly any taste to the sauce and we were really surprised. It was kind of disappointing as I was hoping DH would like it on chicken chunkies in the future.
What other indian sauce is really good but not so spicy?
P.S. $1.25 each is a STEAL! Cheapest I have seen them go for here is like $2.77Insert Clever Signature Here

Wow....that is an amazing deal OP! I wish they had that deal here. I definitely would have grabbed some up even if I just wanted the airmiles and gave the actual products away (we prefer the Pataks Indian sauces).
I don't know much about flyer errors, but I've never seen them that cheap before, so it might have been an error (which is sad because that deal is sooooo good!). I don't know what kind of notices they are required to put up..

Too bad it was a mistake. I find it hard to find the Indian Market ones. I'm glad you got some.

Correction notices were well posted at my Sobey's when I went down on Friday evening. But even at 2 for five and two dollars off coupon's I thought it was a good deal. It worked out to 1.50 per bottle. You were lucky to get it at the 4/5. Stores do have the right to make corrections when there is a misprint in an ad.

I thought it was too good to be true too, I went in first thing Friday morning and the shelf price said 2/5 - so I SCOP'd it to the sifn advertising the arimiles and the flyer as well and got the first one free and 17 others for .25 each. I had a lot of the buy2 Save2 coupons. I had to run up to Wal Mart and there are 2 more Sobeys within that area and I hit both of them up for the SCOP and more VH, in the end I got 27 Bottles for $6. I was pretty chuffed - we go through a lot of the Honey Garlic, Sweet and Sour and Plum sauce here.

You guys gave me supper idea for tonight. I have so many cheap Maple Leaf Prime chicken, it's coming out of my wazoo.
Stir fry chicken breast cubes with Patak curry paste on a bed of steamed rice. Make enough so DH has lunch next day.
