myself I've got a vip airmiles card valid at IGA only this month...

once a week I could get 10 am extra when I shop for 50$
If I do it 3 weeks in a row I will have an other 30am extra...

Maybe I will use some FPC at IGA to get those 60am (value close to 6$) to use my FPC at IGA... I will see, I have alot of silk fpc, some banana, some oasis juice, some V8-fusion juice, some mini-wheat center FPC and a 5$ chapman's...

and could try to combine some of the other airmiles from the big blue booklet you are talking about...

so far I saw they have 15kg cat litter 2 for 1 this week
Also Daïkon (lobok) is at 0.89$/lb and give 2am when you buy 500g (1.1lb) this could go on my IGA shopping list...

Patty do you have an idea of daïkon price at samy fruit this time of the year?

I saw the daikon too. Yum! I have such a hard time with DH though, he can't digest any veggie or salad unless it's cooked to high heaven. It's a real bummer I love my radishes lol.

If you eat at a chinese restaurant, ask if they have pickled lobok. Man oh man, to die for. I think they might sell them in jars in an asian store.

I generally always eat something with pickled daikon and carrot in Asian restaurants. I love Taiwanese-style pork bowls: rice, then cubes of fatty soft pork (ok sounds bad and bad for your health, but I love it), pickled seaweed and daikon/carrot mix, plus hard boiled egg. There's one place that sometimes forgets the pickled veggie and I make quite the fuss. I want my money back then LOL

I wish I had a farmer having it (hum maybe I could just put in my little garden too... anyway I have the seed for my sprouting) to do the lacto-fermented lobok as well to do that kind of pickling myself

If you didn't go before saturday this is not a problem also. It was just to compare IGA offer. I will probably stop by sami on saturday before or after the get-together.

Page 10 of PJC flyer, the Nestle 1L carbonated water is 79 cents. Use your 50 cents coupons WUB2. Do you pay tax on water?

If I price match at Maxi since it's a grocery store, do I pay tax?

Doesn't matter if it's a grocery store or not. Because it sparkling water, it's taxable.

I can relate ... I experimented with my bread machine a gluten free bread( as I have been on gluten free regime since December)
I used Bob's Red mill gluten free flour with a simple recipe I found on the internet.....my bread was so gluey & tastless ,,, not a sucess!!!My friend gave me a bread mchine gluten free bread from the US. it was great ! Anyhow , miaow the cat so graciously brought some GF bread machine mixes however I am determined to find a homemade recipe ! Also, when you use chick pea flour or other you need Xanthan gum in the mix to hold the whole thing together. Let me know if you find a good recipe....
    Thanks
