I've edited to match up products, detail coupon sources, and clarify how I did these shops. Hope this helps others see what is possible with some coupon collecting and creativity.

Shopping trip to Safeway, RCSS, and PriceSmart today and Friday netted a whole haul of Free Stuff.

3x Kraft 500g Swiss cheese slices @$1.97 each PriceSmart Sale (also SOF has same deal)
5x Aquafresh Toothpaste on sale at $2.09 each, less $8.50 in coupons = $1.95/5= $0.39 each stacking $3.50 wub $10 (two versions) and misc inserts. I was short a couple 50 cent insert coupons to match up to the toothpaste - could have gotten it to 50cents total.
2 Phill Cream Cheese @$0.97 each PS sale
2x Naturegg Whites 500 ML @ $2.99 less $2,75 in coupon stacks = $0.24 each.
2x Purex 96 load price matched to $9.97 from $14.98 to get After the Rain Purex tabs.

Over $100 in coupon and serious sales savings.

Paid full price to get other items free:
1 large bottle Canola Harvest (for Safeway BOGO)
5 OralB Power Brushes @ $7.79 = $38.95 to get $63.85 off mouthwash, toothpaste and floss
8 OEP Taco kits @ $3.47 each to get Pop & Sour Cream but also came with 7x FPC 2L Coca-Cola coupons. I managed to grab a box without the Coke coupon-gotta pay more attention.

A few other items bought not of note so the totals will not match.

Safeway Savings $159.72 (56% savings) = paid $135.14 OOP before I got
Safeway cash back for scanning errors/missed coupon = $6.65
RCSS Savings $68.85 (60% savings) + $25.24 (39% savings)+$6 in savings
PriceSmart $59.31 after discounts and price match and taxes but before coupons. $21 in coupons
Total Savings over $289!!! OOP about $282 including produce and other misc items not detailed.

Safeway, this week, has both products on BOGO store special. Apply the BOGO mfg coupons available to the first one, club card gets you the second one - or the other way around if you prefer! Just pay taxes. I saved the club card to the end after coupons and they applyed the undiscounted price to the mfg coupon free product, than club card discount and club card BOGO so there was actually a little overage.

Don't ask, just hand over the coupons. This is commonly done in the US Safeways and we have the same club card system and coupon policy in Canada. You can use your Canadian club card at any US Safeway and affiliated store too.

@len1476 - RCSS I've done this deal now on two different days with different cashiers (and supers because I trip the max coupon limit) without an issue. Cpns were in a recent insert and now from Brandsaver mailout. You can often get completely free oral care stuff I understand but this is a pretty decent deal with 1L bottle mouthwash, floss and 125ml (to 130ml) toothpaste which is a medium size tube.
