Hey, wait a minute. In the 90's, you were a little girl. In the 90's, I was a little old lady, lol.
Love your story.

that is so awesome....
That is so sweet! I was the same growing up (my love for Barbies), however I did take them out of the packages and play with them, they are in pristine condition and I cannot wait to pass them on to my future daughter, or my niece or whatnot :)
I remember I cut off all of my barbies hair, and then i cut up her convertible car, and coloured it black.
I also remember microwaving my barbie with my friends LOL
yea we were messed up!
I remember my sister had that one too, and it was always falling apart....and the orange pop bottles. wow!
Amazing. I wonder if you daughter will do what you did or enjoy them.
Either way it's a nice story.
What a great story to share. My mom passed away when I was 10, but left me her Ginny Doll collection (pre Barbie dolls). I still have them stored for my daughter one day. It's a unique way to feel connected to the past and your future through children's experiences.
what an awesome brag :)
wow awsome! hope she keeps them in box as by the time she gets to collage age she can sell them to help pay for school...or pass them on...!
I still have some of my old barbies at my parents place. Used to have so much fun with them. My parenst were not impressed though as a young child when I shaved the head of one of the barbies. I was trying to make her look like a cartoon character at the time.
I had the same picnic and pool set :) I started collecting Barbies in my late teens/early twenties hoping to share them with a little girl as well, but we were blessed with a boy, so all my unopened boxes are put away, not sure what I will do with them.
