I asked J on the shoutbox if I was considered active and he responded by saying he will have to do something for the canucks (CA) and then he went through my account and said that yes, looks like I do everything I can videos, cheapflights etc..(I checked my account and CF was back up for me)

And he also said As long as you do NOT get the majority of your points from Crowdflower then I will consider you active.

bottom line with it is simply I only want ppl on it that actually like using the site for things other then CF as I hate them so on shiftcode

J's thinking is acting really weird to me. If there is technical problems, there is always ways to fix it. He seems doesn't want to expand his site.

I wanted to use the news as a chance to clarify my new Crowdflower wall rule. Due to massive technical problems between Shiftcode and Crowdflower I have decided to limit the Crowdflower wall to Active CBF users only. You do not have to be on every day etc however please do not apply for this wall when you get more then 80% of your points from tasks. If not for my love of my active users Crowd flower would be gone altogether. However in this way when the next Crowdflower issue occurs as I am sure it will I will have a limited mess to clean up instead of this massive mess I have currently to clean up.

If you primarily used Crowdflower for your points then I wish you well however you will not be approved for the CBF CF wall. Furthermore the active status will be reviewed on each payout request to ensure continued eligibility.

Can'tget on crowdflower!
Looks like i'll be finishing with cbf as soon as i reach the next payout point - its just too difficult to get points now.
Since the last glitch its been a real pain and basically the only way i receive points is with tasks - no qusap, no didi, no surveys, rarely virool- ugh its just not worth the hassle.

For those who did use CBF regularly to do the CF wall for tasks - it's a huge loss.
There are other sites who have these tasks too - clixsense pays 7-cents each and count towards a daily goal.
Swagbucks and they go towards the dialy goal
Prizezombie is a very new site (i'm not sure how they will pan out) - pay decent for tasks have casinos on the main wall but not much other tasks yet.

I did watch the video - will pm you kazm-l with the code.

I absolutely LOVE your take on this on your blog. Right on the money honey!!!!

Food for thought: since J has given access to Crowdflower ONLY to members who haven't used it regularly and deemed them as "active" members - what if they start using the Crowdflower wall every day? Will they become "deactivated"??
IMO CFB is like a runaway train ready to crash.

I seldom read the Shoutbox, but started reading when I noticed J posting there last night.
Apparently this all started because of a glitch on the CF Wall, which multi-credited tasks. The odd thing is that it was a "selective" glitch, because from what I read, it only affected a group of people. Not all that were doing tasks at the time of the glitch got multiple credits.
One member said she made close to 3000 points yesterday.

To me a "glitch" is a glitch. Seems this selective glitch might have inspired J to be selective too, because his decision to make
the CF Wall available to a selective group ('elite' members), came right after the glitch.

I also don't understand why not close the CF Wall yesterday as soon as the first reports came in alerting of tasks multi-crediting.

Which came first the chicken or the egg?

Perhaps the decision of blocking the CF Wall came BEFORE the glitch, and the glitch was a consequence when trying to implement the changes?

Hmmm maybe there's more to the story.

Regular users of the site who do a variety of activities, can do CF. So far one person reported requesting access and receiving it.

Glitches can cost you a lot and sounds like the system to reverse points etc. is manual. Also not something anyone wants to do. If you're spending lots of time cleaning up messes/glitches then it feels less and less like something to spend time on.

Pure speculation: the glitch might be an exploit - code to artificially boost points. Hence the limit to people who are "active" regulars who do a variety of things on the site. Less likely to use a script or bot if you're a regular user.

Anyway, the bottom line is that this site will not pay as well or as easily now.

Surveys ~rarely~ ever come up for me there, I don't do them. So how are Canadians supposed to earn, or is that the point? Get rid of us?

flowerangel - I hear you loud and clear. I'm not saying CBF is good for earning. For Canadians it's pretty dismal.

To me it's like irazoo and zoombucks and superpoints - puttering along slowly.

Videos - snag some a few times per week
DiDi Coupons - very annoying, doesn't credit very often
CF tasks - I only do a handful

I was reading the comments under the "newsletter" section under J's last video and here's one comment:

I agree with Ceodore & BillyGoat - only those that hardly use CF can use it, and those that use it a lot can't. Really?? What a way to run a business.

True. If other sites ran the same way than CBF then I would have no Crowdflower wall to work from at all on any sites. i love tasks and considering I don't get many survey invites I make most of my money from Crowdflower.

On a side note: I saw a comment on the shoutbox that Matomy has casino tasks and they advertise that it's 2 points but that person was credited 3 and went towards the BBar. I guess there is more than one way to skin a cat. Mind you I've I think did tasks on Matomy only ONCE so I can't really say what the gist is with doing tasks on this wall.

RE: "Categorize Items" Task (not available at the moment, so can't remember exact name)

This Task was worth 3 pts. on the Crowdflower Wall, and is also 3 pts. on Swagbucks

It said 2 pts. on Matomy Tasks Wall, and after reading on the Shoutbox one person saying, she got 3 pts. for a 2 pts Task (not sure which task she was talking about though), well I decided to try the "Categorize Items" task, and this is how it credited:

2 point and description: Matomy Media (no mention of task), looks as if I had watched a video and not that I did a Task

Any CASINO tasks saying 2 points in MM will actually pay you 3 points. This happen to all sites, not just CBF.
