Ipad??Need advise

Looking at buying an ipad but I need some advice?
Is there different modiles out there and can you play movies on them?
How long do the batteries last??
Now that we are in our golden years and we are traveling alot how easy is it to recharge in other countires?
How easy is it to down load movies...hubby likes western's and he is not much of a novel reader.More magazines if any thing.He would watch movies mostly.
He does some surfing on the internet as well.
Any advise would be great..

im pretty sure there is only 1 model. Pretty easy to load movies onto it, but movies cost a lot from app store. It is hard to charge in other countries. I suggest getting power adapters off ebay or something. i suggest playbook(the one coming out in march). It is better exept for battery life. Im getting the playbook so theres no point in getting ipad now.
