    Hi SC'ers

So, this summer I collected a bunch of the $5 coffee coupons, and I've used about ten so far but I still have 15 left. I am very fussy and only drink Tims (don't bother trying to make me have some reason on this one, it's just how I am).

The problem is, a big can of Tims is $16.99 so I'd end up spending around $170 for 15 big cans after coupons and before tax. Unfortunately being students, and having a DH who has been disabled all summer has us short on cash and I don't think spending our last bit of money on coffee is a great idea. Plus, no one else in our family drinks coffee so i can't give them to family. So i figured I have like 3 options aside from giving them away...

    1) Buy as many large cans as I can and use the other coupons in the very small cans ($7 each not on sale, before coupon)

    2) Buy only small cans, spending close to nothing but not having a very good supply of coffee, thus spending more down the road

    3) Buy whatever (a mix of both big and small cans, most likely) and then trade the others on SC, but seeing as the expiry is so soon, I doubt I'd get a good value for them

    What do you guys think?

If I were you I'd buy as many of the small cans as possible. You'd end up paying $2 per can and then by the time you run out some other deal with come along and you can think about it then. $170 is a lot of money up front for coffee that you may have for a long time that will taste stale eventually.

Besides, think of all the stamps and times it would take to trade those coffee ones? That costs money too

TY torontogal, I have decided just to do that. I bought 4 a while back at an air miles sale at Metro but one may not come around again before the coupons expire. Small cans it is it's better than stale coffee like you said!

If totally free, go for small cans.

If you have to pay $2 extra, maybe do a RAOK of those coupons. I's up to you but if you are in a need of cash, every dollar counts.

All the best to you and good luck!

My advice is like most other posters...buy the small cans. A cup of good coffee, that you really enjoy, when you can buy it for a pennies per cup is just one of life's little treats. Savour every sip and by the time you go through all your coffee, another deal will come around.
    So many coupons....so little time!
