What's blooming in your yard?

I saw some interiors tropical plant...beautiful and 50% off so 5$ instead of 10$ I think ...but what are the care for interior plant appart water,,,and does that bring bugs...? I am curious because in the future I maybe want one...but dont want my cat doing ''incommodate'' if she chew the leaves...what do you think?

My aunt shared annual plant with my uncle like 10 years ago so he got free garden and it is still bloom beautiful orange...this is awesome:)

Best way to divide lily of the valley??

I love the stuff but it's horribly invasive and I want to put some on our vacant lot to grow to it's hearts content..

I was planning on waiting until it stops flowering and then dividing the tubors. Or should I wait until the leaves die back??

I have lots of red tulips flowering in my front flower bed.

Yep last year we had a frost at the start of June! Had to run out and cover everything that was already planted which was everything from veggies to flowers even the perrienals! I mostly used the pots that the plants came in but had to use some newspaper too. So now I am a bit leary to plant but so impatient too, especially with how this spring has been.

one year someone gave me a little tub of them right during the growing season.. she just dug them up and handed them over, they're still where i planted them.. they're not spreading though, i don't think they're too keen on where i planted them.. fine with me, because as you say - invasive

i have a thousand of them poking up in my back garden from the neighbour's side of the fence... pretty - yes.. irritating as hell - YES!

I have an arpent( acre??) lot where they could be happy..I have white and pink lilies..

Tropical plant care:
Give water but don't overwater
Water leaves or clean them with wet cloth/paper towel as necessary
Use self watering pots when possible
Place plant near light source
Give plant food occasionally(esp in Summer-I use miracle grow)
Dig up & replenish soil (use potting soil)when necessary)

I have a lot starting to bloom, I have to uncover my vegetable garden soon. I was worried with the frost that my veggies would die.

Question tho, my dad got me two rose bushes, he said they are 'picky' anyone have any tips for them?

You have to be careful what plants you have with a cat in the house - way too many are toxic. I miss having more plants around inside; I will only put a few hanging ones up.

Darth,

You can dig them up at any time and plunk them in place, no need to wait for the foliage to die. I am actively getting rid of lily of the valley in my garden...it is not well-behaved like in Go Jays's yard.

I am going to plant a bit today, long range forecast looks good. Temps won't be going below 10 at night.
