I'm going to wait until they stop flowering and then move them. I love the smell so it's not a hardship.

^You are so handy, Patty. That is a really sharp colour for your planting boxes.
GoJays,
Yellow roses always have the most divine scent...you are in for a treat. I've tried growing Don Juan too...it's a gorgeous red...too bad it doesn't like -35C, lol.
So a nursery around here had a good sale for the weekend. Liliacs 5.97, peonies 5.97, geraniums.97, wave petunias .97, large tomato plants for 5.97, hostas, 3.97. I also grabbed some 6 pack annuals, and a castor bean for a nice large screen. They were smallish, but hey thats what plants are for, growing. The lilacs are what got me after having bought a $35 boomerang elsewhere.
i prefer to purchase small plants rather than large ones.. it's cheaper and it's fun to watch them grow :)
I planted some red onion and green onion bulbs I got from CT during a promo, so they were free. I planted them a few weeks ago when we were having some nice sunny weather. In the past several days we've had rain, at times torrential....despite the rain, those onions are growing leaps and bounds...about 2-3" a day...I swear ! Also I direct seeded some lettuce, spinach and carrots which are starting to come up now. And after two years of unsuccessful tomatoes, I bought a topsy turvy from Dollarama for $2 and planted two different tomato seedlings and it seems to be doing fine. I bought a few red pepper and cucumber seedlings that are coming along slowly and some sweet peas. I planted some beets that haven't started to sprout just yet.
A few nights ago I was out in the yard and heard a vibration type of sound.....I tracked it down to an old birdhouse that's nailed onto the garage. Well....i discovered that bees have made themselves a new home in it! and in the past few days I noticed what looks like wax ?? on the outside of it where the hole/door is. I am so curious what is going on in there, but won't disturb them!
I thoroughly enjoy my garden.....I also put together a big pot of annuals. I like to go to the nursery/florist and look at their baskets and then make them myself. I stuffed a lot of plants in that pot, so it's going to look beautiful once it all starts growing/blooming !
