Shame on the Government and Shame on the Military

I am in tears after reading this article about our returning Soldiers. They are coming back ruined and begging for help for their Mental issues and can not get it. And the Government decided to cut jobs in the budget of those that work within the suicide prevention program for the Military? SHAME. This makes me sick. It makes me mad and it should affect us all. Yes I have family serving in both Canada and the US and I'm married to a Vet but even if you don't have a connection to the Military in your life personally, you should still be appalled at how our men & women in the Military are being treated. Disposable. What have we come to as a Country when parents have to "kidnap" their children from the Military in order for them to receive the help they should be getting?

Having worked with the military, as a civilian, I have seen crap that really makes me angry. The problem with the military is it's like the goverment, fat at the top, and nothing trickels down to the real soldiers.

This is an ongoing problem and I believe it's even worse in the states where they barely recognize PTSD or other "mental" issues the soldiers come back with.

It's a disgrace to those that serve our Country, to send them off to war and have them come back battered and beaten and discarded to the side. It enrages me so much!

On the US note, my Husband is a US Veteran and you are right about that.

I am appalled at the state of mental health and how it is treated in Canada. Not just for vets, but for everyone.
