Minou, lol - but I was being honest. SO many times you 'hear' of pregnant women never wanting sex and men complaining, etc.; well, it isn't always that way.
I liked being pregnant NOT because I had an easy pregnancy, it sure wasn't. With severe sciatica, and a worry about placenta previa which restricted what I could do - those were tough to deal with.
However, it was all the emotional stuff and just the looking forward stuff - how we were so happy to start a family together, and just being so excited about the process.
It was a good thing we didn't know then that this would be our only child -

I loved being pregnant for the most part and had fairly easy pregnancies(without complications).
Best: the "glow", being able to consume a lot of food and not putting on more than 30 lbs during pregnancy, ultrasound photo, pampering from others(friends, family), baby bump, the bond of carrying the unborn child.
Worst: swollen feet, heartburn, frequent urination, insomnia, tiredness, stangers trying to touch your "bump" without asking, awkward feeling of all the dr/nursing staff around you when giving birth(asking you the same questions repeatedly even though it's in your birth plan--LOL!)Want to keep fit while earning incentives like Scene Points? Best: Feeling the baby move. Holding my baby for the first time.
Worst: Heartburn durning the last month. Labor,I had unmedicated labor with all 3 boys,my labors were short and intence. I think I would definatly have an epidural if we ever were to have another baby.Artificial Colors & Flavours in almost all our food... You should be concerned.Everyone should watch this...

I had that same experiance with my second pregnancy. It was great, hubby was very happy!
(althow i never jumped him as soon as he came in the door.lol!
) In a way i felt like I was making up for our first pregnancy,it was just the opposite.
Our third and final time around, it was neutral, I wasn't 'for' it, but I also wasn't 'against' it.

Best (so far): Feeling the baby move, so unreal!
Worst: Not being able to do as much as you normally would, and also the whole weakened immune system deal. I rarely got sick before and once I got pregnant I was sick 3 times within the first trimester. I felt so awful!

Last pregnancy
The best-finding out she was a girl after not knowing for the whole pregnancy.
Worst-being over due
This pregnancy:
Best
Finding out she was a girl at 20 wks,
Seeing my dd's face when she felt her sister move for the first time.
Worst
Heartburn
Constantly achey
Can't sleep
Swelling
Her not moving from my bladder all day long
Boobs that don't stop growing
Nasty, cheaply made, over priced maternity clothes-thank god it's summer and I can get away with regular dresses

best: like everyone else, that first feeling of movement and your ultrasounds
worst: 3 weeks overdue in the middle of a sweltering hot summer, a baby doing some serious turning and flipping and kicking, that urge to push during labour when everyone around you is calmly saying 'just breathe sweetie' GAH REALLY!!? or when you're overdue and people constantly saying "youre STILL pregnant?!" um nope, i just ate a freakin' basketball.
i remember comming home from the hospital with our 2nd dd and laying in my bed on my stomach for the first time in ages and thinking this is the most comfortable i've ever been.
congrats & happy pregnancy!

Wow, I love these best/worst lists!
Mine for this week
Best - My Dad's reaction to finding out that I'm pregnant. He was so shocked, surprised and overjoyed that the smile didn't leave his face for 2 full days! He also called me mid-week to find out how my ultrasound went, even though we'd just talked the day before. As long as I live, I will never forget the look on his face and the excitement; I'm sure everyone in the town where he lives knew by Monday morning at the latest that he was going to be a grandpa (we left Sunday afternoon)....
Worst - Sweating!!!!! Yesterday, for the first time I can remember, I had rivulets of sweat running down my legs, arms, back, front, face - just everywhere - and I was standing still! I have never sweat this much in my life and even though I'm constantly hydrating (I drink 6+L of water a day), I am still thirsty non-stop and peeing just as often! :/
My other new 'worst' moment for the week was how angry I got at the girl ahead of me in the ultrasound clinic. She arrived with an empty bladder and instead of bumping her out of her time slot, they got her to drink 6 glasses of water and walk around until her bladder filled enough. I had to wait with a very full bladder for an extra half-hour.... grrrr

Best
- Finding out we were pregnant again after trying for so long
- Movements – DH feeling baby move for the first time
- Stork parking
- Off the hook for kittly litter changing duties for 9 months.
Worst
- Dealing with the stress of a high-risk pregnancy – constant worrying is exhausting
- Back pain
- Frequent bathroom trips
- Insomnia
- Leg cramps
- Swelling – yup, I’ve got some cankles going on
- Trying to find maternity clothes in a city that does not cater to pregnant women
- Outrageous hormones – I can’t wait until the “real” me comes back and I know DH is impatiently waiting for her as well
- Being physically limited and giving up my independence, I’m having a hard time being dependant on others to do things for me (except for kitty litter
) - Where is this “magical pregnancy glow” people often speak of? There. Is. No. Glow. Sorry, but that’s just my body overheating.
- Everyone becoming an expert OB
- Everyone thinks its completely ok to constantly comment ony our appearance, weight gain, clothing, what your eating, etc. Sorry there co-irker, but when you tell me every single morning that I look like I’m “ready to pop”, that doesn’t really set me up for a real “feel-good”day now why don’t you go off and play with the paper shredder
- Random people sharing horrible birth experiences
- People constantly wanting to debate on subjects such as Boob vs. bottle, cloth diapers vs. disposables, working moms vs. SAHM’s . Mind your business people and do what works for you and rest assured, I will do what’s best for me. For now, I want to focus on growing a healthy baby.
- Please don't touch me
- Being overly sensitive…apparently

Urggg...only 65 days left to go!
Disclaimer: I realize my list of worst clearly outweighs my list of best ;however, this does not mean that I am not greatful and don’t want this baby more than ANYTHING in this world. I know there are many women who would give up everything to be in my position, I’m just saying pregnancy has been pretty rough on me and if there was a magic pill to shorten the gestation period by half, I’d be all over that!Last edited by SDiddy; Fri, Jun 22nd, 2012 at 09:41 AM.
