Normally I don't reeeeeally get bothered by stuff people say but today was not that day
.
I went to WM to finally pick up my 20 boxes of Catelli Smart Pasta that I had a rain cheque for ($1 each). I used up my last box two days ago and since the coupon (75c off was expiring June 30 I needed to get them).
Let me say I had the BEST cashier ever!!!! She took the rain cheque and the coupons with no problem. I wish they could all be like her
As I am being rung through I can hear these two "ladies" (and I use this term VERY loosely) in the next cash line talking loudly but I don't pay attention as the cashier is chatting with me. Then I finally do hear what they are saying since I notice them staring at me. They are going on and on saying "they just buy a ton of stuff that they don't need just because it's free" and "OMG I know! have you seen their garages!!??" and so on and so on.
Again normally I don't care but this was the wrong day for this to happen. I guess they didn't see the box of midol in my order cause if they did they would have kept their dorito shoot's shut!. I was trying to be the adult here and I just glared back and when I left and walked right past one of them I just told her that she was unbelievably rude!.
Seriously whay do you feel that you have the right to "try" to embarrass me infront of cashiers and customers for my purchases? I didn't comment on your purchases and I could have. I mean who really needs a half a cart full of 2L soda??? My purchases were healthy (smart pasta and tun in water and midol
). If you want to pay $2+ for pasta then go right ahead while I pay 25c at the most
.
Not that I have to justify ANYTHING TO ANYONE but I shop and cook for a family of 4 so 20 boxes of pasta doesn't last as long as you'd think and by me paying 25c instead of $2+ along with other deals via coupons I have been able to get my family out of all consumer debt, get the down payment for our car AND go on 6week vacays to AZ and other smaller trips to LV so I will continue to coupon and if you don't have anything nice to say I suggest duct tape!
They were so lucky I didn't see them in the parking lot. My foot might have slipped off the break as they walked past
Phew! I feel better now. Thanks

I fully understand how you feel. While I was starting to teach my autistic son how to act in public (and we are still working on it) I use to get smarky comments how I was a bad parent and how I can't control my child. Well...I loudly yelled back at them that maybe if they donated more money towards autism research then I wouldn't have this problem. Moral of my post....screw those who don't understand...love the savings you got and everyone on SC here will appreciate and enjoy your savings!!!!

Aww Harbie sorry there is sooooooo many negative nelly's out there and I have a hard time irgnore them it is frustrating when they sigh, whisper, stare ect. I just try to think of the money I saved. I did run into alot of couponers today in Walmart including one behind me which was nice. I think maybe what us couponers should do is shop together things are easier to manage in numbers ; ) See how mouthy they are when we have a groupy of couponers together lol

HA HA way to funny! What a bunch of b#*^%es.
I would have told the women (no ladies here) with a BIG smile and soft voice.
"Thank-you very much for your concern but I do not keep food in my garage."
"You know ladies, I have money because I know how to spend money.
The car, truck and RV are all bought and paid for.
Zip for a mortgage. ZERO debt. Sons university education paid for.
Oh and I have saved over $2000.00 this year thanks to coupons."
"I do hope your finances are as good as mine.
Have a wonderful day."
Cheers!!
