I was lucky I got to see him in maybe 1983 (?) in my home city. He did a cabaret, and wow we all had a blast. We had met him in a bar before the show (I was working for a local newspaper), then went to the venue where he sang his heart out. He was SO much fun with the audience, he really could get everyone going, singing and dancing. Wonderful, awesome smile all the time!
