Another icon has left this world. Cicely Tyson has passed at 96 yesterday. Most recently, I enjoyed her acting as Viola Davis' mother in the tv drama How To Get Away With Murder. Her career on stage and screen was monumental. So many roles we all probably remember her in. R.I.P. Ms Tyson.

Alexi Laiho guitarist and vocals for Children of Bodom passed away in the final days of 2020. He was very photogenic, nice guy all round. Man, f 2020 I was crying for days and weeks. I have the pleasure of meeting him on the promotion of their album “Halo of Blood” on a meet and greet sponsored by Tom Lee music. Also, I gave him a care package: some Holy Crap cereal, one painted black rose, black nail polish, smoked fish and something else I can’t remembered. Was stoked to see what’s upcoming band Bodom After Midnight. All that I knew of that Alexi has health problems near the end. I know he played a cop on a show but I remember him in later years as the somewhat dapper guy on drama shows. He had that style.

So tragic. No cause of death was listed but a very young Jeopardy winner ( Brayden Smith, 24 yrs. ) died Feb 5th in Las Vegas.
DH , DS and i always watch Jeopardy together and we sure remember seeing this fellow.

Only posting this because I was a fan in 2014 of the tv family Alaskan Bush People.
I know, reality shows are all fake, which is why I never watch them. This one seemed genuine to me.

They were a weird lot. Roughing it, living off the land, hand to mouth most years according to the episodes..
But...I JUST now saw the death notice of the Patriarch ( Billy Brown ). He passed on Feb 8th, 2021 My heart is truly broken for his wife Ami Brown.
Billy was just 68 years young. They raised 7 kids together.

To be clear, I would never condone how they lived ( so risky ) but there is that part of me that tips my hat to their sheer determination as a family to share a dream. Blood, sweat and tears...they developed strength and skills that kept them alive.

Either that or they made millions shooting a reality show and that changed them.
Still....R.I.P. Papa Brown.
