oh dear, when I heard the news in the early morning about Queen Elizabeth being under a medical watch or something with family members coming to visit, I figured she was not long for this world. I remember singing God Save the Queen in school as a kid. How blessed her family was to have her with them for 96 years.

Coworker from Bahamas (I think?) told me that her Mom, as a little girl, met the Queen. Sort of. The Queen went to their island. Each student was dressed in their best uniform and best Sunday shoes. The Queen drove by and they waved and threw flowers.

Her portrayal of Nurse Ratched in One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest was by far Louise Fletcher's most memorable character. ( for me at least )

The heartbreak....I cannot deal with it today.



Yes, it happened right in our own backyard. Our lovely and talented ( and some of them very young! ) Blue Jays team blew an 8-1 lead in the 6th inning going on to lose the 2nd wild card game to the Seattle Mariner's. Their MLB Season is toast now......BURNT toast.
However....I cannot walk away completely, so in the spirit of a 2nd choice, I am now rooting for the Houston Astros and it's ONLY because of the one guy on that team...

I was surprised when I became a fan of Murder,She Wrote. Sometimes it was due to the storylines of the episodes, but it also became a show where I could spot actors from older shows making guest appearances. So glad that Angela Lansbury was on TV and in movies!

this comedic actor was an absolute joy to watch on screen. Leslie Jordan was involved in a single vehicle crash, early reports say the vehicle hit a wall
( he may have been having heart failure ) and he succumbed to the injuries. Just 67. My gosh I am truly going to miss seeing him on tv. The sitcom he
is currently on ( Call me Kat ) is paused for now.

anyone who watched the telecast before the Leaf game a short bit back and witnessed Borje Salming being honoured, oh boy that was really emotional to watch.
Diagnosed in Aug 2022 with ALS, by October he could no longer speak and today he passed away. This lump in my throat is about to switch to tears soon.
Darryl Sittler was so visibly affected as he provided physical support to Borje, his teammate and friend as they stood on the ice surface that night, Daryl's face streaming with tears. Just a mere 71 years old Borje was. How is this even remotely fair?
