Trade ratings

So ive got a HUGE itch to get on here and start trading. Ive been trading with groups on FB but always come here to look for the good stuff lol. ive been told a good way your start your trade rating would be to join a train.. i just cant justify 4-6 stamps (2 to send the envie 4 to receive) for one trade rating. i just cant do that many stamps.. big reason why ive quit mail trains all together. but if i ever got on one i would join a VWT, theres to much of a risk with regular ones to only get 1 or 2 your looking actually for. is there a way to get around this? Dont get me wrong i love trains especially VWT, i just hate the stamps and ive gone so far as to bike around my area to pick up and drop off envies fo riders on my own VWT to save everyone stamps. Well good way to start is to make up a Trade list and a Wish list under your "about me" in your profile so that when you post people often have a peek at your profile.It may be intimidating to start at least it was for me,in addition to being one of the worlds worst typist I was like I don't know what to ask for . So I just had a look at other peoples trade lists ,opened a second window and copied and pasted alot. I'm still not totally caught up but getting there.
