LD wouldn't PM Charmin or Huggies :(

So disappointed. My local LD wouldn't PM the Charmin or Huggies from Zellers b/c Zellers was sold out.

I didn't argue, was just very disappointed.

The CS girl was not impressed b/c she kept saying, I don't get it, are we suspose to call every time someone wants to PM?

I get that as well at my LD...no price matching if the store you are price matching from is sold out of the product.

that sucks I was able to price match 5packs only had to pay 50cents per pack.

Oh no, I am going to try tomorrow. In the meantime, I've been going and collecting rainchecks, seeing as this is a pretty good price, and the rainchecks are good for a year!!!

Pretty well every retailer will only price match if the store advertising the item actually has it in stock. London Drugs isn't unique in this regard. In my neck of the woods Zellers is famous for having very little stock when they advertise a great deal like the Huggies one....

yeah, I wasn't overly surprised, but disappointed. I didn't even check out Zellers first, just got my coupons ready to PM and stack.

I am surprised you found the Charmin there. I've gone 3 times to my store and they don't have any. I was also told by 2 customer service ladies they won't price match diapers. But last night I saw a girl doing it. I didn't say anything because I want to keep being in the good books and be greatful for any that I get.
It is frusterating though how not only stores are different but tellers also. It's good in some ways but mostly not for knowing what is going to happen with your order once reaching the till. Sorry you had a dissapointing time, more good transactions to come

My LD is very good about Price Matching, they do diapers no problem! I was able to get 6 packs of the huggies! Maybe try another location? I have found varying policies as well so I just try and find a LD that has a policy that will acomodate my diaper purchases!

i've had the same problem with our location about PMing diapers. they wouldn't PM for me for the exact same item as in the flyer but one of the guys would do it for me. I finally contaced the head manager and spoke to her and she told me they were supposed to be PMing diapers. they were having a meeting regarding coupons and she told me she was bringing this up to the employees so that everyone was on the same page about PMing diapers.

when it comes to diapers if anyone is having problems PMing them talk to your local head manager.

I've been told at the three London Drugs' in my town that they are PMing diapers but they have to be an exact match to what is in the competitors ad. My LDs are very generous with couponers but they are not able to give lee-way on diapers. If an ad says 'selected varieties' then they won't price match.

I'm hoping they don't change things too much. They have already put a limit of 4 products per person (the same product) which I'm fine about b/c I can actually get stuff. There is only one LD in town and so if you didn't get there right away the product would be gone!!

My LD also takes the same coupons with different expiry dates, so I'm very lucky there, so again I'm not going to argue.

I'm just very grateful LD does coupon stacking and really hope it doesn't stop! Helps out sooo much

I agree with you. I am so grateful just to be allowed to stack and save $$. Even if i save $5 on diapers i am a happy customer

just out of curiousity are you from Calgary? just wondered cause Calgary is the only place i've heard of allowing same UPC but different expiry dates

wow - just returned from LD and they PM'd the charmin and huggies. I was able to get the "little movers" mega pack - she was more concerned about the date of the Zellers flyer. Wanted to use my coupons that expire tomorrow! I feel lucky that my LD is flexible and so accomodating!! The staff at Brentwood are wonderful! Will be sending a thank you to head office!
