    Hi,

I'm just wondering if this was a good deal or not. Today I went to SDM, I spent $57.72 and didn't use any coupons
    I purchased:
2 packages of Oral B replacement heads on sale $21.99 each and 20x the points
1 Medela Nursing Pads on sale $10.99

I spent over $50 so I received the $10 GC and got 8520 points

I'm still trying to figure out what is or is not a good deal at SDM. Please help

i would say the replacements heads are a bit pricey as they are often found on clearance shelves at SDM, Rexall and WM
that being said if you needed these things now its good that you got a $10 GC.Remember its a promotional card valid before 29th july 2012

8520/95000*200 is worth 17.94 on bonus redemption day.
8520/95000*250 is worth 22.42 on mega bonus redemption day.

If you go for the max, 22.42 + 10.00 GC less OOP, what you truly paid is 25.30.

    I say good job.

Oh wow I didn't know that. The cashier just told me it was a $10 GC. Thanks for letting me know, I would have been very unhappy if I let that expire

I also say good job -- since the brush heads were on sale and collected 20x the points. But I wouldn't count the value of the points against the purchase in which the points were earned. You won't know what you "truly paid" until after you have redeemed the points and you can distribute their value across all purchases -- the points-earned purchases and the points-spent purchases.

If I am getting 20x the points or better, I consider it a 25-30% discount off the present purchase and also off the portion of the redemption purchase that those points will pay for. By my calculation, this would make the brush heads about $15.50 per pack. I would then consider the $10 card as another 15% off (10/65). Now the brush heads are $12.20 per pack. Is that a good deal? (I don't know.)

I would consider this a good deal (I picked up two pkgs of the brush heads myself) as the normal cost at Wal-Mart in Ontario is $29.96 (current price on-line). I have never found them in the clearence section and they rarely go on sale. I found them once last year at Rexall for $26.99 with buy one get the 2nd for $1.00.
