Redeeming for boring household stuff - garbage bags, zipper bags, allergy meds, birthday cards and then some chips and treats which are not too badly priced. Should have enough "borning stuff" to last the fall

I've got enough points for 2 redemptions and may do them both.
I will likely buy some presents for a good friend who is going thru a separation from her husband to try to cheer her up (as well as sanding and staining her deck - the labour is more appreciated) - some make up or cologne or something to pretty her up. Likely some video games for my son if there are new ones and facial products for my daughter (both are teens).
I agree that bonus redemption products are over priced. I usually get books and mags and special overpriced sunscreen and sometimes the pricy Jones soda - things I would generally not buy myself. Happy shopping!!

I just did a walk through at the SDM I had PLANNED to do my redemption at.
BUT Their grocery section was near empty
Kinda torn as there is only 1 other SDM relatively close to home...

I'm doing one redemption of $100 I think..maybe $200 if I find stuff I want/need while I'm there. Does anyone know for sure if you can use more then one VIB BP coupon on ONE ITEM if they are different upc codes? I'm pretty positive I have before and gotten the points. If it works then I will be getting 80% of my points back if I only use 50,000 points.

Anyone have the Ontario flyer? The front page has Tylenol extra strength for 9.99 but I can't see how many tablets in the online flyer. Want to use $3 printable coupons if 100 tablets in a box is cheaper.Last edited by couponmummy; Fri, Jul 20th, 2012 at 06:49 PM.

So it didn't work out as well as I planned. Instead of getting 41,500 points I made 32,500 so a loss of 9,000 points and I'm sure NOT complaining because I wasn't sure it would all work at all. For some reason there was a set of printable VIB coupons that would NOT work. They were all from the same grouping and all expire August 6th. She scanned them all before any of the others and when she hit total the register automatically took them all off and said they weren't valid. Don't know WHY they weren't valid..more then likely a SDM error when they made that particular set of VIB coupons. But either way..it went well and I was totally happy getting the points that I did.

Glad to know it wasn't just me then. I was like WTH won't it work. It was really frustrating. They wouldn't give me the points..told me to call SDM 1-800 number. But I'm sure even if I called they wouldn't give them to me..I've never actually gotten anything out of calling them with issues. They just always tell me to go back to the store I was shopping in and have them deal with it.

I was excited to have finally qualified for a redemption day but then I realized with the markup and the lack of good deals that the extra $15 just isn't worth it. Better off to wait for a regular weekend with better deals.

Decided not to redeem this time. Looks like that was the right decision with the promotion of July 24th.
