My pappy's wife gave me a heads up that she spotted astro greek yogurt packs at Giant Tiger for $1.50 each. Was actually excited because I thought I would never get a chance to use the coupons I had for the drinks or packs....
I couldnt make it down yesterday but went down today and they were $.99!!
10x 4 pack astro greek yogurt; reg $3.97 on clearance for $.99 - $1 coupon = FREE
1x Sunny D; $.99 (no coupon i was dying from 35min walk there and sooo thirsty, so splurged, lol)
Grand total: $1.03
Saved nearly $40 on the yogurt!!
The yogurt expired yesterday but thats a okay with me!! I have already thrown them in my freezer. They will make a great frozen summer treat or add in for a smoothie!!! Just too bad that I didnt bring all my coupons... lol.
***edited to add***
Was going to recycle the packaging and noticed that each pack has a coupon expiring dec/31. So gained back my ten coupons I used!!!

Great find! I have recently found some amazing same day expiring deals at GT also! Last week I found Schneider's stadium size hot dogs for $1, expiring the next day.....I snatched up a few and put em in the freezer
I remember reading a few years ago that many dairy items will last about 7 days after the "use by" date. I could be wrong though don't take my word for it ;-) lolLast edited by r0c0upons; Wed, Jun 5th, 2013 at 09:41 PM.

I think you're right. My mom has always told me that yogurt is good far beyond the expiration date. I dont eat yogurt often enough just on its own though. DH hates greek yogurt he tried it a few weeks ago and spit the mouthful back into the container. I was super miffed.. wasted a perfectly good yogurt cup... pffft.

Great deal OP! I also buy yoghurt on sale and freeze it. You can eat it slightly thawed as "ice cream" or mixed in a smoothie. Yummy. Thank you for posting.

Thanks for posting I've seen good deals on yogurt before because it was expiring but never thought to freeze it. Sounds like a great ideal guess I'll be buying some yogurt. Thanks again for the post and info
Come trade with me I have a lot to trade

Im always finding clearance on the big tubs. Which i find annoying to freeze because you have to take the whole tub out to unthaw. Lol.
