Decided to make steak for dinner tonight to celebrate youngest child's first job and realized I was all out of marinade so headed on over to WM with DH...was quite pleased to have only spent a total of $6.25 on my whole purchase!! Breakdown is as follows:
2 Skinny Cow @ $4.97ea - 2 x $5 off (facebook) = $0.62 (tax) x2 =$1.24 (done in two transactions - one for me one for hubby)
4 Travel size Colgate Optic White @ $1ea - 4 x $1 off (smartsource) = $0.13 x 4 = $0.52
2 Zantac 3 pack @ $2.22ea - 2 x $3 off (tearpad) = +$0.49 x 2 = + $.98 (done in two transactions - one for me one for hubby)
1 Clubhouse Marinade @ $3.57 - $2 off (from Ziploc box) = $1.57
2 Green Giant Valley Selections veggies @ $1.97ea (PM to Giant Tiger) - $0.75 off (save.ca) = $1.22 x 2 = $2.44
1 bag sliced carrots @ $1.47 (needed them for tomorrow night's pork hock soup dinner)
1 box Glad 40 ct Odour Guard @ 6.97 rang in as $7.97 so FREE (SCOP!!!)

I want to know what this soup is you made? I've got some hocks in my freezer that hubby makes 'kutchinya' from (pig's foot jelly). I'd like to put them to tastier use!

I boil up the pork hocks until the meat is cooked through...take them out of the water and separate out the meat. I add the meat back to the pot and add some beef stock, carrots, potatoes, celery and spices to it (sometimes lentils or noodles as well). Cheap and easy dinner!!
