So, I finally found a nice pair of sneakers at Winners, they are Nike's and I got them on sale.
I threw away my old Saucony's which had a hole on the left toe and the right heel cushion was flattened
    Anyway...... I threw them out
you know the rule "one in one out"

so my question is, I have a black rebock with it's heels worn down and offers NO support when walking.
should I still buy another pair of new runners?
or be happy with my lastest purchase?
or just ditch the black rebocks?

As someone who developed a bunion from ill-fitting shoes, I say get a good pair that fits properly and gives you support. Your feet are worth more than your frugality...this is a general statement, not talking about you in particular.

Btw, are the sneakers different from the running shoes?

    I'd get rid of them.

i asked the sales clerk and he said they are the same and can be used for walking, since i don't run or work-out.

If you need black shoes then ditch the old Reeboks and get new ones, otherwise just use your new sneakers.

ya, i think i'll ditch my black reebocks.... i keep tripping over the right foot anyway... cuz of the heel being so warped, and NO foot support at all.

Casual work or walking shoes As a rule of thumb, Langone said, if you wear a pair of shoes to work three to four times a week, after a year or so they'll either need fixing or trashing. You know it's time to repair or replace when you have scuffed heels or flat spots on the outer sole, or when the back edge of the heel gets so worn that it's angling sharply, Langone said. Another sign is when inside pieces of the shoe poke through, like a nails showing in the heel. One test is to set the shoes on a flat surface and look at them from behind, Langone said. If they tilt to the side, it's time to fix or toss.

. "A worn shoe can exaggerate the biomechanical faults you already have." A loss of support and cushioning can cause shin splints, Achilles tendinitis, knee pain and plantar fasciitis, a common form of heel pain. As a shoe's sole and heel wear down unevenly, the likelihood of twisting an ankle increases. In severe cases, old shoes can cause stress fractures, Langer said.

I think it is necessary to choose the shoes which fit to our feet.
