need info about books on Amazon please....

Hello,

i was about to order some books for my little niece and i'm about something
what is the difference please between ?

hardcover
paperback
library binding


and when there is only one left, does it save my order if i just put the item on my basket of should i 'save for later' ....wich one is the best option to make sure i get my order if i finish my selection later on the day?

i would need an answer asap, as i'm working on it right now ....

Hardcover & paperback are pretty self-explanatory, and library binding is a term used to explain the binding used (library meaning it expects heavy usage).

your other question confused me.
are you asking if the item you ordered is showing 1 available and you put it in your cart but don't check out, will it hold the item in your cart and show 0 available for other people, or can someone come in and technically "steal" the book our of your cart because you haven't checked out yet?

If you put it in your basket, the system will keep saving it even if they sell that last copy. When it comes time to place the order, it will show out of stock if they don't have it anymore. You use the option "Save for later" if you don't wait to buy a particular book that day, but will purchase others. For example, if you decide you only have $40 to spend on book this week, and the number of books you have in your shopping basket come up to $60, you move some books to "Save for later" to bring down your current shopping basket to $40. Later if you want the other books, you'll click on "move to cart".

Saying "only x copies left" is just another tactic to push people to buy. Yes, they might only have 2 copies left, but at Amazon, you can bet that an order has been placed and more will be delivered.
